Hello all!
I have recently discovered my old Sega Nomad. It is in great condition, but when I turn it on there is just a white screen (if I turn the brightness down it goes to gray and then black, although it is seemingly still backlit). I'm wondering if anyone may have an idea as to what this could be? Likely just caps to replace?
Thanks

Sega Nomad help - White screen
Re: Sega Nomad help - White screen
I wish I had a better answer, but it does sound like a Capacitor problem. I had it happen to me once, and when I investigated it was because I installed a replacement cap in reverse polarity. A dry cap might act the same...?
Re: Sega Nomad help - White screen
If the game is playing and you can hear the sound ‘ it must be caps or the screen. Both are not so expensive to replace but def you need soldering skills .
