PSone Dual Shock Analog Light Not Staying On

Post by Lodestar »

Hey all, weird issue with this controller, the analog light will turn off randomly and no longer accept inputs. Happens on console and with my USB adapter.

Anyone had this issue before? I've cleaned the inner PCB board and cleaned that input sheet that receives the button presses, but not sure where else to look.

What's the common culprit for this issue?

I've had that issue with one of my controllers. I just assumed it was a bad connection somewhere and switched to another controller. Not very helpful but at least you're not the only person who's experienced it!

Identified the problem, part of the cable is damaged. Close to the controller itself. If I bend it it stops receiving inputs.

Congrats on figuring it out.

If you haven't thought of this already... You can buy a Playstation controller extension cable and cut off the end you don't need, then use it as a replacement cable.
