I bought a Neo Geo MVS about 2 months ago. http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... =6&t=29875 I was able to get everything going great, the only thing from making it perfect is about 3/4 of an inch is cut off on the right side. Every thing I have read has been having me think that it is the horizontal width coil. Here is a link to one site. http://www.arcaderepairtips.com/2010/04 ... idth-coil/
I can bring up the test screen with the crosshatch patten and it is easy to notice. From what I have read it dose not sound to difficult. I really just wanted to know if anyone has any experience with it. I plan on working on this soon and I will post some pic of the adventure to share with you.
Has anyone adjusted a horizontal width coil on an arcade.

I know that thread, I helped find the solution to that. The only way to adjust width size is with the horizontal width coil. You can use a pot to move the horizontal potion. Here are some pics of the test screen and SNK VS Capcom. I know adjusting the horizontal width coil will probably solve this, I just wanted to know if anyone and messed around with them.Hobie-wan wrote:Check this thread. http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopi ... =a&start=0

I dunno then. There are a few people on here that have worked on cabs they've gotten. Hopefully they'll have input.

Well I finally got the tools in the mail today. I was not to bad of an ordeal to pull off. I just did a lot of reading before hand. This site was good http://www.arcaderepairtips.com/2010/04 ... idth-coil/ There are some other good ones too. Here is some pics of my monitor and screen shots. You can't see the width coil from the picture, but it was not to hard to get to. Mine was sticking out way to far out of the coil and I had to screw it back in quite a bit, not perfect, but a big improvement.
