The standard warranty expired in 12/07. That means the 3 years passed in 12/09 I believe.

Phone up. When I had RROD I checked mine it said that it had expired several months before, but when I phoned up they said that it was out of warranty the month before. I don't think that website is 100% accurate. Phone them up, it won't cost you much to find out (It's free in this country).Octopod wrote:The standard warranty expired in 12/07. I gave them a call and it is passed the three year warranty. Not sure what to really do with it now other than sell it for parts. I am incapable of repairing it my self and it seems like paying someone else is expensive. Unless someone has another idea?

No, it's a broken pice of technology. Either get it recycled or sell it as parts.Octopod wrote:I gave them a call and it is passed the three year warranty. If you want a new 360, they're not expensive!

Give it to me! Five dollars!Octopod wrote:I gave them a call and it is passed the three year warranty. Not sure what to really do with it now other than sell it for parts. I am incapable of repairing it my self and it seems like paying someone else is expensive. Unless someone has another idea?
I'm sure you can sell it cheap to someone who wants to have a go at fixing it. Flux and a heat gun might do it, or it might need a go in a real rework station.
