That makes sense. Summer always has that lul in fashion. Fall is where they ramp up.

SamuraiMegas: not sure where you are in the country but if you even make it out to NYC, there’s a shit ton of vintage shops that sell 80s and 90s stuff. I plan on scoping out a couple of places when it isn’t either hot, humid, or raining.

Since I can't get a tattoo or piercings until the mask mandate is gone AND there'll still be a lot of booking, I've decided to order some Nike shoes. These are literally the most beautiful shoes I've seen. Didn't expect them to do something so artsy

Got my neck tattoo booked :) borders are open in Quebec, close-ish to my city, and their mask mandate is ending earlier so I figured that's the best. I'll be going to a traditional Chinese artist to get it done, and she wants to do an asian twist to the design. It's gonna be in October 6 but I assume it's just the outline and then the rest of the design will be split up in more sittings.

Some guy about 8 years ago said the following, which I found myself agreeing with and emulating more frequently over the years:

And for me it isn't about being "flashy", it's only about representing myself the way I would like others to see me. I think about the way my Father and his Father dressed, and even if they were going to a ball game, they still wanted to look professional. Not that they wouldn't slouch around the house in a stained Cubs t-shirt and jeans they could wade water in, but when they were out they wanted to look nice.

Except my slouch-around-the-house clothes are polos. Oops!

I had an economics professor from college who had a similar mentality. He would always say that every time he would step out of the house, he would always have some sort of suit on, even if it’s a grocery run. Even if you’re unemployed, you still give off the impression that you’re at least well put together.

Me personally: I’d like for people to see me as a bum, because well, I sort of am…

Shorts, tee, hoodie, sweats. The bum life is good.

I'm a single college student. It definitely is about being flashy for me  I stand out basically wherever I go, and I regularly have people walk up and compliment things I wear.
@Gucci I already regularly go to vintage clothing swap meets out in the Dallas/Ft Worth area, actually. There's a pretty big scene for it here, made a few friends from those meets, they're pretty cool. Prices are crazy though....

Fair enough Samurai! When I do go to those shops I’ll let you know in advance and I can be on the lookout for some stuff for ya.
