Got this from a Mod today, three times at that:

So...Mods can curse as much as want and disallow free speech? Good job to prove my exact point. And this post will be deleted by the mods, without a doubt, but thank God for Print Screen. Plus the kicker is I'm at fault for calling a whiny cunt, who is known for being a whiny cunt, and mods have frequently attacked him.

It's not about being high and mighty, it's about mods can use foul language, but when a member uses it they get banned. So I can't say "cunt", but they can use offensive language with no repercussions? This is a reason people leave this site. This is a reason their circle jerk is detrimental to the site.

If I posted that Forlorn is one super depressed dude...no deal, as plenty of mods have said the same. (pretty sure this thread will also be deleted as I point out hypocrisies). But if I say "Chin up fucker and stop kicking rocks" it is a different ball game.

I know moths with thicker skin, and if this is a forum, people should be allowed to speak their mind.

People who can't deal with the reality that some use "dirty words" should not be mods.

Oh I get that, but it is still semantics.

And I believe it was you or Aaron who said on the podcast I as on "You have ballz in your mouth for more than reason" or something close to that and my reaction was a giggle, because it was silly.

People need to get the fact that internet talk is that. It's not to be taken seriously unless you are paid for your knowledge. The overall implications of peoples opinions on this site mean dick. Not that I don't love some of the members here, but let people speak.

If someone called my Mother a rusty cunt on this site...I might respond, but with no emotion as I don't give two swags. When people get butt hurt over things I saying my mind goes into a fog as who cares? And then I get warnings and once banned for responding with arrogant taunts.

Grow a pair, or a pear. People on this site challenge me and when I own them, I get warnings. Bush league. Go cry to your mama, as I will humiliate the stupid, and I get the short end of the stick by people who I have insulted in the past.

Luke, while I understand certain words and the semantics involved with them don't bother you, it doesn't mean it doesn't bother others.

You want others to see your side of this, but others have opinions and sides too. It's not your take vs others, it's your take vs another vs another vs even more takes.

If you want my take on why it's different what you posted and what the pm said; one was public and the other was private. You mentioned you don't mind vulgar language and it was used in a private message to just you, who doesn't mind...it wasn't public until you posted it.

Maybe it's the teacher and father in me... I hate public cursing. It's not cool for others to hear since some are offended. You are not offended, but some are. That's their right as well. I can't stand when someone curses because they can, it models to kids that because you can be rude (curse) then you should be rude and curse.
I make hip hop mixes and I share them privately to those who won't be offended and may want to hear them, but because of the language and content I do not post them publicly for kids or people who may be offended to hear. You are one of the people I have shared them with because I respect your feedback.

I know I'm a mod and right now you are not fond of us as a group, but this post is not one of a mod but one of a dude who wanted to comment. Whether you agree with my take or not, I hope you at least take a moment to see my opinion and respect it.

The post that elicited Luke's response was full of name calling and such. Was G4L warned and threatened to be "thrown out on his ass" for calling him an arrogant delusional douche idiot that can't hold a job while passive aggressively attacking his person in general for the majority of his last few posts? My guess is, definitely not. My guess is, some mod has their panties in a twist because Luke was blasting the inconsistent moderation here that is a result of (some) of the staff reacting personally to posts they don't like, and not in regard to a legitimate and consistent rule structure that every member, including the mod staff, is subjected to. Some people can say whatever they want, others can't. That's not a good environment and it puts a damper on discussion.

I've definitely seen way, way worse stuff than "ur a whiny cunt lol" posted on this site, by mods or not, and nothing happened. A mod acting like they are a bouncer gonna throw yo ass out the club for something so dumb is seriously embarrassing. Not to mention the person it was said to more than likely isn't offended and wasn't phased by it.

I think I am pretty objective, and I think this is off base.

I am not generally a fan of gamerforlife, but his first response was mild. Something along the lines of reconsidering being a writer if they thought that show was good. The Luke responds with repeatedly saying how stupid he is. Luke I think cleaned it up a tad from my first reading of. Then the insults back and forth spiraled out of control.

I think real-life Luke is probably a pretty chill guy, probably a lot of fun to hang out with. Online Luke comes across as a different person. We have had some good convos on here and on the podcast as well. Seems to be a generous person too.

But too often Luke, you come across as very self-conscious and arrogant. Instead of arguing contrasting posts, your tactics can become 'belittle the other person who thinks differently than me.' And then when called out, the response is "It's all jokes man! You must have a terrible sense of humor if you couldn't tell!"
The last day or 2 it appears you are going to do the routine of seeing how much you can say or do before they ban you. Is that really the approach you want to make to a community you have been involved for 6-7 years?
