Man, respectfully, if you're having trouble with 500 a month I'd hate to see you in NYC. You're lucky the landlord ain't Repo'd that apartment and set your shit out. I'm afraid if you move to NYC you'd be a First 48 hours episode

Paying $140 a week is easy in the summer, but in the off season I get paid off from my morning job and at Food Lion I usually get my hours cut. If my hours were consistent year-round, paying my rent and bills would be a piece of cake. But NYC doesn't have that problem because they don't sustain their economy solely on seasonal tourism.

No, NYC has the problem that you can’t afford to live in the city on minimum wage doing 60 hours a week. You’ll be living in a closet apartment in Jersey if you’re lucky. But since all your actual research on NY is from TV and movies, that’s no surprise. The musical Rent is not the authentic NYC experience.

Wrong. Both are excuses. And, you’re going to keep making them because that’s easier than actually manning up and doing something. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I have to be real with you. I want to see you happy, but you’re never going to get there unless you grow up, abandon your victim mentality, and actually do something to improve you situation.

You know what?! You’re absolutely right! You should continue to live in misery for the rest of your life because, otherwise, you might take a loss on some of your personal property!

Excuses…excuses…

I always feel like I need a bowl of popcorn when reading this thread.

Anyway, for those of you who don't know, I got into the local union for film and TV production crew here in Atlanta, IATSE Local 479. I'm officially a union Grip. I'm now occasionally working on a TV show for Starz while also trying to secure more work by reaching out to Best Boys to see if they need more guys for their crews.

Day 3 of my tolerance break: I got 4 hours of sleep and I literally sweat so much my queen sized bed is damp. The sheets were activating the touch screen on my phone which was kinda disgusting. Currently trying to fall asleep on the couch.
Starting my new job as a doorman/ ID checker at a restaurant/venue here in town tonight. Really looking forward to it, seems like it will be fun and easy.

The vapeshop I've been working at since 2019 closed down officially a few days ago. I'm really going to miss that job, the owner was a real good dude and I consider him a friend, even if he's my dad's age, haha. Honestly kinda want to own my own smoke shop one day now.

Looks like there are early signs of kidney disease. It's not enough to be super worried about, but I am still getting it checked up with an ultrasound. The problem is that I only have one kidney. I take medications that can cause liver and kidney issues as well.

Honestly, it's at the point where I might ask my psychiatrist about electroshock therapy. Meds would be gone or less frequent, and apparently if successful it is SUPER successful. The problem is that memory loss is a frequent side effect of it.

That is a helluva tradeoff to have to consider to preserve your remaining kidney. I'm sorry.

How was that pinpointed, creatinine levels high? Do you have high blood pressure as well?
