That's the great thing about fiction. You really can get into the minds of made-up characters, whereas real people tend to conceal quite a bit of themselves.

I myself think the writing has gotten a bit repetitive over the years. Moreover, the main character is just too unrealistic and unbelievable. You'd think someone who dreamt this big would be doing *something* to advance that goal. But clearly the author has his fans, otherwise it wouldn't get so much traction here, right?

I wish I could make up stuff like this that easily.

 It's taking FOREVER to stuff the microSD card I have for my Retroid Pocket 3+. Plus, to be honest, there's no guarantee it'll run even a fraction of the PS2 and GameCube games I throw at it.

It probably wouldn't take so long if the torrents on The Internet Archive actually listed ALL of the contents and not just the first 3-4 dozen files.

:D But I'm still floored by how well it ran Maximo: Ghosts to Glory, especially since I didn't use a PAL-region ISO. Apparently having to only reach 50fps in lieu of the NTSC standard of 60 makes it easier to get full speed.

Would you mind making a dedicated thread about that handheld, repo? I'm genuinely curious if it's any good or not.
I'm curious what you've been able to run on it.

I just got a Retroid as well. A thread might be nice. I have not kept up with emulation and I'm a touch confused.

Which one? Like I said I'm rocking a 3 Plus.

As for emulation, some shit is idiot-proof, but you end up needing to know more complex terminology for more recent consoles. With PS2, I'm using AetherSX2, whose developer sadly abandoned due to being harassed. GameCube and Wii can be decently emulated on the 3 Plus with Dolphin, though there's a fork called Dolphin for Handhelds that tries to balance compatibility and performance.

I've also had luck with PSP emulation using PPSSPP. Even ran the God of War games.

There's a load of spreadsheets out there that detail compatibility with PSP, Dreamcast, GameCube, Wii, PS2, Saturn, N64 and Android games.

One of my best friends, my roommate, committed suicide this weekend. I don't really know what to say. I miss him already. Please check in on your loved ones.

I'm sorry for your loss, SamuraiMegas. Make sure you're looking after yourself right now. Do you have folks you can check in with to make sure you're OK?
