Who still writes checks these days I mean come on?

Outside of a few things that still need to be paid via check who really needs a check book these days let alone write a check. Most bills can be paid via. bank card etc. Why do i see people bust out their check books at the grocery store i mean come on.

the people i pay rent to dont understand online banking and etc so i have to write a check

We still write a check for rent and maybe Costco because they dont take credit cards.

Every other bill is either paid via a recurring check card charge or electronic check. I remember when we would write a bunch before the online banking/payments took off.

well since my landlords don't exactly have a debit card scanner, I use checks on them.

I only write checks to pay rent. I tried cash but they didn't want that.

check is acceptable english, cheque is french.

I use checks for bills. Also, I think it's interesting that all the guys from the UK and Canada spell it 'cheque' while the Americans spell it 'check.'
