Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
That reminds me of the time... Some times I take the back roads home from work which pass a high school. I always forget what time the school lets out, so some times I'm passing by while they're letting out. A lot of the kids walk home, I'm not sure why, but there's a lot of kids walking on the sidewalk. So one day while I was driving home, passing the school, one group of kids were joking around or whatever and a girl shoved a guy TOWARD the road. The guy didn't fall, but what if that shove made him fall into the road? It happened literally just as I was passing by. What luck would it have been to be going home from work, tired, just glad that I'm going home, and run over a high school kid. Is this why the speed limit is so slow around schools?D.D.D. wrote:Ticked: stupid kids jumped in front of my car at a cross walk without looking. I knew it was going to happen so I was already hovering above the brake pedal but still, stupid kids will be street pizza one day.
Speaking about dumb people and cars, I was just reading in the paper today, two Fast and Furious kids where racing their cars on the highway, clocked over 140MPH. They both crashed off the road. One crashed into a pump at a gas station and blew up. The other crashed into a Hooters next door. Now here's the part that pissed me off: Both cars were carrying passengers!

Sorry this is game related, but
Ticked: I find out that the PS2 that i bought and just had chipped had a bad laser. Also one of the two controllers is broken. My great deal has turned into a great nightmare, and since its chipped i cant get a refund now. Now im pretty much forced to pay for a replacement laser if i don't want to just let it all go as a loss.
And i have to grade papers all day tomorrow.

Ticked: Sick with 101.3 fever
Smile: Since I'm sick, I don't have to go to my grandparents house tomorrow, so I get an extra day to do homework.

Ticked: Shelling out the extra money for my PS2 this morning.
Smile: Running into a friend at the store I hadn't seen in over a year. Was glad to see he was ok since it seemed like he dropped off the face of the earth.

TICKED: Been trying to find a way to get an external hard drive for weeks because my wife says we don't have enough money.
SMILE: Finally found a way today and when I told her she fessed up that the reason she has been refusing to let me buy one is that she already bought me one for my birthday:). What a gal!

Somehow I don't think 400 kilo MJ will be looked at as a misdemeanor. Sigh... If only they could understand I'm not a bad person. If only I could get a second chance. So where are you living now? I can understand the rationale for not wanting people with a criminal record. I'm sure that the US is not the only country with this rule.elmagicochrisg wrote:Ticked: Just found out it's pretty much impossible to get into the States with a criminal record, except for misdemeanors.
