What was the last movie you've seen?
Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
A lot of people called it the Ghostbusters 3 that we never got.

Another laundry day in November, another Christmas movie:

Mildly rehashing the same formula as "It's a Wonderful Life", this straight-to-video movie from Saban Entertainment (releasing shortly on the heels of their two Casper movies) sees the iconic comic character being led to believe he's ruined Christmas, with only the audience knowing it to be the work of his bratty cousin Reggie Van Dough. Distraught, he wishes he was never born and ends up in a horrible alternate timeline where Reggie sued his parents and ended up in the custody of The Riches, who he sued for complete control of their finances which has allowed him unparalleled control over the town of Richville. Now, he must find a way to undo his wish before the clock strikes midnight and Christmas Eve ends.
Formulaic yet enjoyable. Also, fun fact: the band Root Canal is shown performing The Song of Confusion from the Power Rangers Turbo episode "The Song of Confusion".

Josie and the Pussycats was a huge surprise. I have no idea why it's marketed towards kids when it came out. It's honestly closer to fight club and they live with how the plots are, just girl power instead. Fantastic satire that is so unsubtle that combining that with its absurdist nature complements each other very well. Really fantastic humour in this. I knew it was gonna be insane and not what I expected just from the opening scene.

My partner and I watched Willow (1988) the other night. Even though I consumed a lot of late 80's cartoons and movies when I was a kid, I totally missed this one and don't remember my family or friends talking about it back then. I've been wanting to check it out for a while and ended up being able to stream it on the Disney+ service.
Overall, I thought it was a fun movie, there were some silly things thrown in, so don't go in expecting a dark and serious fantasy epic here, but if you're up for a light hearted adventure, I think it's worth checking out. The special effects looked good for it's time as well.
Also, the NES game based on the movie looks fun! I'd like to check that out sometime.

IIRC there was also an arcade game based on it. Speaking of movies from the 80s and 90s with arcade and NES game adaptations from Capcom, you ever see Little Nemo? That was my jam back when I was a kid.

There was. The arcade game and the NES game are very different. The arcade game is a side-scrolling platformer tries to recreate scenes from the movie with added action.
The NES game is a cool adventure game that is very different than the movie.
Systems: TI-99/4a, Commodore Vic-20, Atari 2600, NES, SMS, GB, Neo Geo MVS (Big Red 4-slot), Genesis, SNES, 3DO, PS1, N64, DC, PS2, GBA, GCN, NDSi, Wii

I love them both. I put so many quarters into an arcade machine near my house when I was a kid trying to beat it. I think I actually did beat the game in the arcade, and I have since in MAME. I really like it. It's a very odd title for Capcom to have developed. I don't know that it's a lot like any of their other arcade titles.

I got to play it a few years ago.
I got through the first couple of levels, but ran into trouble at, I think, the third level boss. You're in a boat and then finally get to an island and there is a wizard guy there. I never beat him.
You can't just credit-feed. If you die and continue, you restart the level. I feel like it plays a little bit like an easier version of Ghosts N' Goblins.
I think Willow Arcade did have difficulty settings. I don't know what the machine I was playing on was set to.

I usually struggled with the Wizard boss because you get the screen-clear double-your-gold magic on his level, but it does VERY little damage to enemies that take more than a couple weak hits. And while it's easy to charge a shot and hold it at the highest level, it's a lot harder to charge your shot and release it at the right moment to get an earlier weapon effect and also be in position to make it count. Once you master the timing on getting the tornado (right before the gold magic on the magic bar), however, he's not awful. I got to the point where I could pretty reliably take him down and finish him with the gold magic, which made for a nice boost going into the next level.

I loved the movie Willow when I saw it years ago. I get very nostalgic about it. There was recently a show based on it, and they even got the original actor from Willow to be in it. I never heard anything positive about it from fans. The critics seemed to like it though. It got canceled after one season
