Frown: Tired from all these playoff games. They've also been majorly cutting into my video game playing time. But in the end, I still enjoy my sports.

Smile: Going to set up the badminton court tonight and have friends over for a game and grilled Usinger's weisswurst. It's been gorgeous outside lately and it would be wise to enjoy the weather.

Smile/Frown: Another reason I'm not getting enough sleep is my wife's "snore". It's definitely the cutest "snore" ever as it sounds like Darth Vader's breathing apparatus.

She takes deep breaths through her nose and let's out a "Pahhhhh" from her mouth.

You've not mastered the "video game on one screen, sports on the other" technique? I played Cotton Boomerang through much of Game 6 on Tuesday.

:D The boys and I watched the first two episodes of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV show - and we all loved it.

:( They wanted pancakes so I had to miss most of the 2nd episode while cooking.

That's kooky yo yo talk.

If I'm going to spend hours of my time watching a sport, I am 100% invested. I have no issues with multi-tasking, but when it comes to hockey, it's the only thing on my mind.

I coach my tv screen the entire game, and rapidly at that.

"Boards boards boards! Why in the hell do we have three players behind the red line? Don't chase behind the net! Center center center! Anticipate! At least dump it in if you're going to take a line change! C'mon coach, you're placing the fourth line in for two minutes and only giving the first line a 45 second shift? SKATE SKATE SKATE! Stay in the damned crease. You aren't Roy for fu-ks sake, STAY IN THE CREASE! Put a body on the guy for crying out loud, this isn't soccer. Why play a triangle defense when they're crashing the net? Why would you wave off icing in the middle of a line change?"

I know I'm very, very annoying when watching hockey, but screaming at the tv is a huge stress relief for me. That, and since I played and coached (little league) I love enjoying the pros and cons of each player. Skating, stick handling, positioning, line changes, blue line play, goal tending...I focus on every detail, and love it.

Fair enough. I don't watch much NBA or NHL outside of the playoffs anymore, so I am not that invested. Football, post-season baseball, and college basketball demand my full attention start to finish, so I understand.

I said "stick handling" instead of puck handling, and made myself laugh.

Even during intermissions I'm giving suggestions and asking my tv questions as if I'm going to receive a response.

"What we need to do is be more physical and why isn't the goalie pushing people away when they are obviously in the crease and blocking his vision?....."

I seriously need to go to a pick up game and get kicked out again (our local ice rink doesn't allow anything more physical than a poke check or trash talk).

Smile: Beat my high score on Spin Pair (a PC Engine game that's like Tetris on steroids). My previous record was 90-something pairs and this morning I got 133. :)

 Had to turn down booking a show last night at a place we really like with a booking agent that's really awesome. Why? Because one of us couldn't get his head out of his ass and respond to texts, phone calls, emails, or facebook messages. I would have loved to leave a voicemail, but the damn thing was 'full'. HOW DO YOU HAVE A FULL VOICEMAIL BOX. YOU LISTEN TO YOUR VM AND DELETE IT.

Smile: My Gal and I are going to run a few errands during lunch, including going to Micheal's Arts & Crafts to pick up a few shadow boxes to display a few of m Atari 2600 cib games. I'm bringing three games with me for color comparisons, and to make sure they fit the shadow boxes proper like.

Also stopping by Blackbeard Cigars, which happens to share a wall with a local Game Stop. I figured for s#!ts and giggles I'll stop into the GS and ask what the trade in value is for my Atari games. I know most of the employees who work there, so if I ask in a deadpan manner it could end up being hilarious.

Probably not, but no venture no gain.
