Looks like Bryan Danielson played a key role in Punk's firing. I can't wait to see how the "Punk was driven out by The Elite!" crowd will spin this to further their narrative.

On a side note, when the hell did Danielson become the Triple H of AEW?

If Tony Kahn got hit by a car it looks like Bryan Danielson might literally be the guy running AEW.

I love the MJF/Samoa Joe dynamic. Both of them are acting like real people instead of the "babyface" and the "heel". MJF is a face, but doesn't hide the fact that he's afraid of Joe. Samoa Joe is a heel, but still wants to face MJF at 100% at the pay per view and is protecting MJF from anyone who goes after him.

Wow, actual CHARACTERS instead of stereotypical face and stereotypical heel.

Swerve is leveling up man. He's beaten Hangman, and now he's beaten Jay White.

Christian couldn't help himself tonight:

The best was the end though, you won't get that in WWE

I saw Britt Baker was in the headlines again for bitching about her booking.

AEW wrestlers really need to learn what collective responsibility means. Stop tweeting, liking and doing anything on social media that makes the company look mismanaged and unprofessional.

Tony really should stamp that crap out.

It's not a problem exclusive to AEW talent (WWE occasionally has some whiners too), but we do see it a LOT more from AEW then anywhere else. Tony himself doesn't set a good example. Social media in general is a cancer. It brings out the worst in people. It's one of the reasons the perception of celebrities has declined over the years, because we've seen them make fools of themselves on social media, or just act like assholes/bitches on social media.

Britt seems like someone who is a bit of headache to deal with behind the scenes, but there's no denying that she's talented. I hate to say it, but she'd do much better in WWE given her charisma, promos, looks, etc. They'd get more out of her than Jade Cargill. WWE has THREE thriving women's divisions on three different brands, unlike AEW where Britt is basically doing nothing and the best story lines they've got are who is more goth, Julia or Sky? Along with Toni Storm and sadly, now Mariah May, making asses of themselves on TV.

Toni Storm is playing what would be a lower card, comedy act in WWE, and is now the face of AEW's women's division. Sad. She's the equivalent of what Cody was doing when he was Stardust, a completely stupid, joke character and she's holding the top women's title in AEW. Meanwhile, Raw has a fucking badass, modern day Chyna holding the title and leading a faction featuring the tag champs and a future world champion. Smackdown has Iyo Sky, who is leading an awesome, mostly joshi heel faction that has some of biggest female stars in the company's history in it. NXT has a woman who beat one of the top women in all of WWE to get that title by beating Becky Lynch. All of these women have top talent gunning for their belts and are embroiled in big story lines. Meanwhile, Toni Storm is doing stupid, dumb, comedy segments every week with that stupid dork RJ City (why is this man employed in AEW?).

There would be so much backlash if someone like that was holding a top women's title in WWE, but AEW fans are acting like it's awesome.

AEW has so many problems.

Yeah, Britt is within her right to be pissed off. A lot of the fans sure as hell do not like how the women's division has been booked. But stop whining on social media! It's unprofessional and undermines the company you work for. Besides, hasn't she done this before and isn't she known as a bit of a backstage politician? Didn't she create drama over Thunder Rosa? And complain about some of the other women?

According to Dave Meltzer (lol), she is legitimately pissed off and unlikely to re-sign with AEW whenever her contract comes up. I do agree she would be better off in WWE. She would do well there. She has the right look, is good in the ring and is good on the mic.

Anyways, AEW needs a social media policy or just a policy on interviews and how stars conduct themselves in public whilst representing AEW. The amount of drama in that place is ridiculous. Not to mention the number of wrestlers in that place I have seen trash stuff about the company in interviews or rubbish storylines.

Moving on, I kinda feel bad for TNA. I read the other day that they were desperate for CM Punk, made him a huge offer and they were banking on having him as the face of their big rebrand. Now I have just read that they offered Will Ospreay a 7 figure sum and thought they were close to signing him.

How does TNA have so much money to throw around I wonder?

I can't imagine Punk in TNA due to his ego. I have to try and watch TNA more. They do seem to be seriously trying with their product and I love TNA for introducing me to Gail Kim, Awesome Kong, and Speedball Mike Bailey among others.

Just to illustrate my point of how WWE is using their women champions well versus AEW embarrassing itself. Check out these clips:

Here's Raw's women's champ having promo time with one of the top men in WWE who just had a major comeback:

Iyo doing awesome spots in a huge PPV match

Lyra Valkyria shocking everyone by beating one of the top women in the company in front of a hot crowd on an NXT special event:

Meanwhile, the women's champ in AEW is doing this shit:

MJF will reportedly forgo surgery on his torn labrum, as that would put him out of action for two months minimum. He is instead exploring stem cell therapy in hopes that will get him ready in time for the World's End PPV. Whether he will do a match between now and then is not known, but MJF reportedly believes he can do careful matches or "smoke and mirror" matches.

I like MJF's title run, but dropping the belt to Samoa Joe right now wouldn't be the worst thing in the world so he can go get his surgery done. Joe is certainly credible right now with the way that AEW (and presumably ROH which I haven't been watching) have built him up in recent weeks.

We need to get that belt on Bryan Danielson at some point this year IMO whether Bryan wants it or not.

EDIT: Next year I mean. I know he's doing his final run which I guess will end some time in 2024?

So AEW is randomly fire people now it seems...

Okada's contract is close to ending, supposedly he is interested in going to AEW or WWE.

Not sure which one of those is the better option quite honestly. The backstage environment in WWE is definitely better...at least until CM Punk implodes...

There's always been a ceiling for Shinsuke Nakamura in WWE, but that's not to say he isn't well utilized though. He's just never gonna win a world title. I think in general the joshis get further ahead in WWE than the Japanese men do. Though a debate could be had about whether or not any of the women's world titles hold as much value as the men's world titles...I'm not touching that one.

The ironic thing is the "cancer" is gone and yet there's still "bitch, bitch, bitch, whine, whine, whine" and endless drama and negativity at AEW.

Boohoo Matt "I can barely even move anymore" Hardy and Jeff "I should just be happy I still even have a job" Hardy don't like how they are used or booked. Boohoo Britt Baker doesn't like how much time MJF gets each week.

MJF allegedly has heat, because of how much attention and focus he gets. Guys, he's your world champion, is one of the most talented young up and comers in the industry and he's an actual AEW homegrown talent who has proven he is a draw. Of course most of the focus is on him.

I would still rather watch AEW than WWE, but Punk was probably right that he worked with children.

Edit: And now I am being negative  I'll end on a positive note then. I am really looking forward to Adam vs Christian tomorrow night. Dynamite should be awesome!
