Tax refund put to good use. My new Challenger R/T is here!!!

Post by corn619 »

I just picked it up today. After a week negotiating with the dealership on price I finally got the price where I wanted it to be. Man, I love a buyers market! Its a 2009 6 speed and has 7000 miles on it. Its basically brand new without the brand new price. I stole it at 26,500. I have to say its a very roomy car for a coupe with plenty of room for my wife and daughter. It seems very solid with no creeks or rattles at all and rides very smooth unlike my Toyota. And boy is it fast and fun to drive. I've never had this much fun with a car, ever.

Its a far cry from my 2009 Matrix XRS which just wasn't fun to drive at all, I figure you only live once so be happy. The only trade off is I agreed with my wife if I got the car I had to sell the Harley Davidson which she hates me riding. The way I look at it is, New England weather sucks for bikes and I would be able to enjoy my car longer than my bike on a yearly basis. Anyways heres some pics. Image Image

Dude! Fucking BEAUTIFUL! I really love these cars. If I were to attempt to get one, it would be in the new Furious Fuchsia with black stripes. Alas... I drive a Neon right now and am not really looking until this damn economy picks up. Regardless, congratulations on a great purchase!

WOW! I've never seen that red model design before! I've only seen the standard orange with black racing stripes and the totally awesome, all-black turbo limited edition.

I really do love the look of the SRT/8's. They're so badass. Much cooler than the newer Camaro's, IMO.

Unless I somehow hit the Lotto or sum shit, I'll never be able to have one of these. Not because of the price, but rather due to the fact that I live in Minnesota where our long Winter's can be EXTREMELY HARD on a vehicle. So I wouldn't be able to drive this beauty year round. I'd need to have another good runner for work and bad weather months and then keep the Challenger in the garage where it would collect dust and cry to be taken out every weekend. :?

Heck, I almost bought a secondhand 207HP 2006 Jaguar S-Type last week.
Somebody bought it before me. :x
In the end better, because parts and repairs would make me have to file for bankruptcy
Congrats on the car, I ehhh. hate you
just kidding

Damn, nice! I've never seen the red w/ grey stripes either, but it looks bad ass! I have a black 09 Ram Sport which has the same 5.7 Hemi in it - and man, does it pump out the horsepower. Even in a truck, that engine will push you back in your seats. I think you'll have more fun with the Challenger than the Harley, especially during New England winters. Congrats man!
YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS ARE DEAD. GAME OVER.

Awsome car, great color, and good choice in giving up the bike.
