Happy Birthday Dreamcast indeed! I have been following this thread for awhile at the Dreamcast Talk page and finally after much discussion these two betas have been released:

Here is the original thread so you can get the back story:

Granted, it looks like more work needs to be done to get these running but the fact that they exist, are public now and will possibly be playable is just awesome for Dreamcast fans.

Woow! This made my day mate, am so happy now that was my dream to play my personal best game (System Shock2) on my personal best console.
Re: Thief 2 & System Shock 2 Dreamcast Betas released
If I am reading correctly they are not in a playable state?

Re: Thief 2 & System Shock 2 Dreamcast Betas released
These are just raw files pulled off a dev kit. They have a created date shortly after the time a team was created to work on these two games.
Thief 2 does not have source or a boot file. It looks to be just a dump of the PC files with some of them modified for dreamcast texture sizes.
As for System Shock 2, it looks to have a boot file, but has only successfully booted on an SDK box. Once it boots, it has no sound, only has part of the controls mapped and crashes like nobodies business. (ex. when you unplug a controller, vmu, or randomly when walking down a corridor. )
I hate to say this guys, as I would want this to be released more than anyone else, but it looks like neither game will ever be playable in a decent state.
