Saturn COntroller for Wii
how would i go about doing so is there a Saturn to GCN port i can by or would this requirecustom modding because i was thinking Muramasu: The Demon Blade would be awsome with one
Re: Saturn COntroller for Wii
Well, there are ps2->gamecube adapters, and the make saturn pads that are ps2 compatible. Unfortunately, these pads are insanely expensive (I think in the neighborhood of $100), so I don't think you would want to spend that kind of money. However, if it's any consolation, I'm fairly certain it supports the classic controller, which might be a little more in the realm of possibility in terms of obtaining.

Is there a USB to gamecube adaptor?
You could get a USB Saturn pad and run it like that.

It is not possible with anything currently on the market. You may be able to get a USB Saturn pad's d-pad and buttons working but I doubt it. I tried everything to get a Saturn pad working for Nights Wii and found no options. Not that I care now Journey Into Dreams is NOT Nights. Still in denial.

As far as I know, the 3D pad won't work with any adapters, neither on analog or digital mode.gradualmeltdown wrote:It is not possible with anything currently on the market. Your only other option is to do a hard mod or create your own controller converter.
The Saturn pad works in Serial (and from what I gather, in a very similar way to the DC pad) it's serial and so you will need to make some kind of decoder to translate the button presses into something else.
Here is the pinout/diagram http://www.gamesx.com/controldata/saturn.htm
The other method would be to simple wire a classic controller to the insides of a gutted Saturn pad. I don't know which one would be harder to be honest.

Re: Saturn COntroller for Wii
The easiest way to do it would be buy a classic controller, buy a used Saturn controller and wire up the classic controller guts into the Saturn controller casing. It wouldn't be that hard, I'm planning on it myself once I get some money actually, I'm in love with the Saturn controller since I got the USB version.
Re: Saturn COntroller for Wii
I no longer own a wii but was able to use the Saturn PS2 pad with gcn/wii hardware with an adapter that has been off the market for many years. It worked well except the L and R buttons did not map properly to C and Z buttons.
I may sell the adapter but it would go for a premium price.
