Re: What RPG are you playing right now?
I've been trying to work my way through Final Fantasy for NES. Last time I had a chance to play it, I had just beaten the second orb dungeon (the one in the volcano).

Best Console RTS
What are the best console RTS games? So far, I only have Army Men: RTS for Gamecube and Command & Conquer and Starcraft 64 for Nintendo 64.

I'm not sure what you're getting at with this analogy but I'm imagining it's probably hilarious.
.....Quiet, I'm very sleep deprived.....I meant to say it doesn't make you a car...not a guitar....Maybe I should go to bed now.....XD

Re: Young modern Gamers
It's not the kinds of games they play that is the problem; it's their refusal to try or show the deserved respect for the classic games that makes them unfit to be called gamers. Just like going to church doesn't make you a Christian or standing in a garage doesn't make you a guitar, playing a game ...

Re: Leaving the Saturn plugged in
When I first got my Saturn, I had been playing Corpse Killer a lot (don't ask me why I was playing that game, I haven't the slightest clue), and I got really far into the game but hadn't replaced my system's internal battery yet (so I couldn't save) but had to go out of town for a week. What did I d...

Re: 15 Genesis must haves
You definitely need Boogerman and Earthworm Jim. If you get a 32x or Sega CD, you ought to look into Doom for 32x and NBA Jam for Sega CD (I know it was for SNES and Genesis, but I've always been partial to the Sega CD port. Not sure why).

Sorry, I'm not sure I understand. I can play Famicom games on a Top Loader, but I need a converter? Is that right? Or am I confusing myself? If so, what should I look for to find that converter?

Re: dsheinem's shmups collection
Is SeaQuest any good? I have River Raid and Chopper Command and absolutely ADORE those (I ignore my Wii just to spend hours playing my 2600), but I've never played SeaQuest. I've been wanting to expand my Atari collection since they're usually cheap and underappreciated; is that one I should try to ...

NES Top Loader
I know that removing the 10NES chip when they released the NES Top Loader allowed it to play PAL games, but what about Japanese Famicom games? Can it play those, too, or just European games?

Re: Young modern Gamers
It really depresses me how retro gamers my age (I'm 20) seem to be rarer than albino elephants (yeah, I know, it's a random analogy, but I'm sleep deprived right now). I'm 20, and although I can get some of my friends to play some NES or Genesis with me, most of them would much rather be playing Roc...
