Re: What 5 games define you as a gamer?
It's hard to pick just five, but these are the games that come to mind when I think about the word "video game". They each hold a special place in my heart and are part of the reason I gravitated towards the hobby throughout different parts of my life. Super Mario World - This is the first...

If he put the cloak back on maybe it would smother that fire.

Re: Games Beaten 2017
I've beat a few games this year after taking a hiatus from the hobby. I don't collect at all anymore, but I have been using some free time to slowly work through my giant backlog of games that I have collected in the past. Pokemon Yellow - GB The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX - GBC The Legend...

That's one thing about this game that I didn't expect! I've already been killed way more often than I expected.

Re: What are you playing?
I'm playing through Earthbound on the SNES for the first time right now. I picked up the cartridge on eBay years ago and never got around to playing it. I just got to the third village with all of the blue houses and I'm really enjoying myself so far. I'm also chipping away at Megaman X Street Fight...

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?
I watched Tusk a few days ago. I've been an unashamed Kevin Smith fan for years and I remember listening to the episode of SModcast that inspired the film. It's not everyone's cup of tea but I really enjoyed it. Check it out if you want to see some weird shit.

Re: Happy Thanx Given - What are you doing?
I'm thankful for having ever discovered this place! I haven't been active lately but my passion for classic gaming has been rekindled now that my son is old enough to play the games in my collection. I hope everyone is doing well!

Re: Games that you've just given up on
I eventually beat Castelvania: Harmony of Dissonance. I also recently picked up playing Super Mario RPG, Star Ocean, and Ogre Battle for the SNES again. All great games that I never beat.

Re: Spelunky!
OP here. I finally beat this game last week. I had a shotgun, compass, and a shit ton of bombs. No jet pack. It took a long time, but I did it.
