Re: Random Gaming Thoughts

I noticed after setting up an older Svideo switch I had that there was some mild checkboarding on my consoles, when I plugged them directly into the scaler I had no issue, so it was either switch or the cable from the switch to the TV. Svideo is just such a pain, but I ended up with this sweet cable...

I popped into a regular thrift store and they had about 30 PS3 and PS4 games, I only took what I actually wanted and left the others hoping a collector migh...

Re: Games Acquired 2025

Wow! That box looks fantastic. Great pick up and a decent price! I was wondering if I posted on RB when I got mine, and I did, 15 years ago! After being outbid on my max bid of $15 for a NTSC copy of illusion of Gaia, at a local pawn shop today I saw Illusion of Time (Which is the PAL name for the t...

Re: Games Acquired 2025

You guys can obviously post however you like, but for me personally, I would love to know where you guys are getting your games (online, in a store, little story) and for how much. This thread just reads like a wall of game names at the moment. Again people can do whatever they want, but it just doe...

Re: Any love for the 32X ?

Region locking on the 32X is the same as the base MD/GEN. [...] If you are IIRC, I read that Virtua Racing Deluxe doesn't it different than the norm. But if you check, let me know! The patched ROM is working for me now, so it's all good. Naturally, as soon as I get new hardware I'm thinking about w...

Re: Any love for the 32X ?

There are a couple 32X hacks for MK2. Look up Mortal Kombat II 32X Arcade Edition, I have never actually played this one (not a big MK fan) but Sega Lord X did a video and it looked like a really decent improvement on an already good version of the game. Region locking on the 32X is the same as the ...

Re: Any love for the 32X ?

I think a lot of sites just naively say "games that contain a battery" because they are wholly unaware of alternative methods to SRAM. They really just mean "games that can save." I suspect this is the case. Yeah, I might as well. My Sega CD isn't getting any use at the moment a...

Re: Any love for the 32X ?

Yeah, I know what FRAM is, I was more meaning sites like this; https://www.retrosales.com.au/blogs/retro-gaming-news/list-of-sega-32x-games-with-save-batteries List it as having a battery save, so I was not sure if the idea was the NTSCJ version had FRAM with the NTSC and PAL versions using a batter...

Re: Any love for the 32X ?

Okay to the thicken the plot a bit re Virtua Racing Deluxe. I have the NTSC version of the cart. I looked online, different places says it has a save battery. I opened my cart, there is no save battery. I played the game, it does not appear to save anything I believe the mix up comes that the NTSC-J...
