Re: Road to a new gaming setup

The Crosspoint? Yeah, I've never heard of anyone having issues with them. They are broadcast-level equipement.

Re: Legend of Zelda ROM Hack in NES Switch Online Service

This release is made to make the game more accessible to a wider, and more modern, audience. But, does it really? After all, by taking away the exploration, the cash management and providing all these bonuses from the start you are denying an important part of the game to that "wider, more mod...

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts

That's why I prefer GOG for the old games, as they are really good about having PDFs of necessary manuals and supplements and sometimes disable copy protection or have programs that simulate code wheels. Very true! They aren't perfect but they do add soundtracks and other documentation they have ar...

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts

I'm more than willing to say that a huge part of people finding old games "unplayable" is to not reading manuals, not being able to read old manuals or not even knowing there's such a thing as a manual you should read.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts

I always had to use a courier service like FromJapan to get stuff from there. Anyways, shipping is expensive and will double the price of what you want to bu...

Re: “Stockpiling” Stuff & the concept of storing for the fut

I regret not buying Gradius III &IV and Gradius when I had the chance to save a couple euros, but other than that, I don't think there's a real need to store for the future. It might have been a good idea to get certain games before prices started to skyrocket but that's already behind us so no ...

Re: Have you ever been dissapointed by the library of a cons

Huh, I was scared to post because I also thought of the PS2. When I made my lists of what games I wanted for each console, I was surprised to find the PS2 had very few games in. Sure, it had Gradius V and Time Crisis II , but given the massive scope of its library, I expected much more. It also seem...
