Re: Together Retro: FMV Frenzy

Damn. It's the end of the month already. A lot of things came up and I didn't get as much play time as I hoped for. There was a death, travel, career stress, and a creative project. I might still tack some late entries on to this thread regardless. Also, I started Lands of Lore 2 which is both an FM...

Re: Together Retro: FMV Frenzy

Double Switch keeps kicking my butt. It's starting to piss me off because I keep having to replay so many segments. The game is split into three Acts. You have to play on the hardest difficulty setting to play all three Acts. If you mess up, you can restart at the beginning of the Act, but you can o...

Re: Together Retro - May

I'm playing a bit of Land of Lore 2 for the current FMV topic, but probably won't finish it in April. If First Person Dungeon Crawlers wins, that would give me a bit more time to keep going with the game, so I voted for that. However, I think single screen platformers sounds the most fun.

Re: Together Retro: FMV Frenzy

I stupidly bought that David Bowie "Jump" thing as well as The Residents "Freak Show" before realizing they were for Mac only and I'm a PC guy. Oh well, they were only like $2 each. Maybe I'll figure out a way to play them at some point.

Re: Together Retro: FMV Frenzy

It's hard to talk about FMV games without acknowledging the role that the company DIgital Pictures had in the promotion and development of full motion videogames. Here is an excellent 30 minute documentary about them: m Want to know how they got a prototype FMV peripheral to work on a Colecovision? ...

Re: Together Retro: FMV Frenzy

Wow! Nice job on installing Windows 95 Keyglyph! That took some extra dedication. I look forward to hearing more of your thoughts on Silent Steel. Your screen shots really bring me back! I think I did know about the Weezer thing. Seeing the screenshot reminded me, however, of the Squirrel Nut Zipper...

Re: Together Retro: FMV Frenzy

Oooh! Toonstruck! That would be a good one to play. I have been meaning to play it for some time. I just got my picture taken with Christopher LLoyd last month inside of a Delorean, so it would be a fitting game to install. Thanks for the reminder Ack.

Re: Together Retro: FMV Frenzy

To that extent, why don't you and Bogus make a top ten (or five even) list of FMV game examples you personally love? I made a list here when the topic was suggested for Together Retro. And, no, I have no explicit intention of beating any games. If I am enjoying one enough to finish it, so be it, bu...
