Re: Together Retro: FMV Frenzy

Exhuminator, the reason you do not find the FMV enlightenment that you seek is because you seek it. There is a famous zen saying that states "To a man of satori, nothing happens." Enlightenment does not change reality, only how you relate to it. The famous zen master, D.T. Suzuki, who help...

Re: Together Retro: FMV Frenzy

Bogus don't tease them! You're making it sound like Phantasmagoria 2 has anything whatsoever to do with Phantasmagoria 1, when you know fully well it is a sequel in name only. We can only dream of Curtis in an electric boogaloo! I found an old post I made about Phantasmagoria. and another from Phant...

Re: Together Retro: FMV Frenzy

Oooh.. the infamous Phantasmagoria rape scene. Yeah, that's uncomfortable. Not that it should be comfortable, but yeah... It was really controversial around the time of the game's release, and sort of still is today. Michi, did you see Regina's death yet? That is the most gruesome of them all. It's ...

Hey Nullpointer, nice job on your Fork in the Tale review. I didn't think you could find a way to link Rob Schneider with Skinny Puppy, but you did it man! Hahahaha!

The Yakyuu Ken Special: Konya wa 12-kaisen for the SEGA Saturn. Released in 1995. Officially. I point out "officially" because wow, SEGA signed off on this. This is a rock paper scissors game. A strip rock paper scissors game that is. Sometimes it's good that Nintendon't do what Sega does.

Re: Together Retro: FMV Frenzy

As a personal note, I'm fascinated by cartridge games that contain features that most folks think cartridge based consoles simply can't do - like FMV and high quality audio recordings - so I'm all about those odd-ball games that might only barely meet the requirements. Carrying on with this tangent...

Re: Together Retro: FMV Frenzy

So I decided to install another FMV game that I have had lying around for awhile called Temujin. It's an FMV puzzle game from South Peak Interactive that came out in 1997. I have this one on CD with the manual still in tact. The manual has some of that hyped up marketing that surrounded FMV at the t...

Kalooh Kallay! FMV month is here to stay! I'm going the bone route and playing a WRPG, but I've put my sights on Lands of Lore 2: Guardians of Destiny. It's installed on my laptop now. Will have to report back on gameplay later. I've played a good bit of Stoneskeep. I hope you have fun with it Bone....

Re: APRIL TOGETHER RETRO RUN-OFF VOTE

Yesterday when the poll ended and FMV games won, I was dismayed. So much so that I decided to escape the internet, and just take a walk in the woods behind my house. As I was walking and cursing the name of every FMV game I could recall, suddenly I saw a strange light ahead in a thicket. As I grew ...
