Re: The Politics/Society/World Affairs Thread (BE CIVIL)

I just want to say: I want the old thread title back. Seriously: I appreciated the contrast of the doom and gloom of the original thread title (even if it was a bit tongue in cheek) against the general frivolity of topics about video game discussion. I also don't care for being "to...

Re: Good retro JRPG series to marathon?

Thanks for the suggestions all. Some great stuff here. I have settled on a series, it's one Ack mentioned..... In another thread. Lufia - Five unique games (fifth one is technically a remake of the second, but it's been drastically altered and thus stands on its own as an installment), no ports so ...

Re: Good retro JRPG series to marathon?

The PC rules are taking a lot of rpg series off the list. Exile, Brandish and Xanadu as examples. Like you mentioned Dragon Buster series wouldn't be bad, there is also Breath of Fire, Oasis, Lufia, SaGa, and Mana. I would recommend Tengai Makyō - Far East of Eden if you don't mind the games are in ...

Sounds like PoPoLoCrois and Return to PoPoLoCrois would count. http://j.dl.playstation.net/j/NPJI00042/npji00042_5.png The PS1 version of Rhadsody http://lparchive.org/Rhapsody-A-Musical-Adventure/Update%2007/3-SLUS_010.73_14122010_115815_0206.jpg Also games like Aidyn Chronicles: The First Mage, Qu...

Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

I also tend to just eat whatever I want, but usually I want to eat fruits and vegetables. Many of the "bad" things tend to make my stomach upset anyway, like really greasy food, so it tends to be pretty easy for me to not eat terribly health-wise. Unfortunately I cannot just eat fruits an...

Re: So the whole world is kind of falling apart...

There's a similar thing with the campaign promises around massively increasing the minimum wage. It has the same sort of appeal for those it will directly impact at first glance, but then you think through the larger economic ramifications. Increasing the minimum wage that significantly means you'r...

Re: The Only 26 JRPGs You Absolutely Have to Play

I read the title of this article, somewhere, and figured it was a waste of time to click on. I feel a bit validated, after seeing it here. 1. Final Fantasy VI - [no] 2. Illusion of Gaia - [absolutely not] 3. Chrono Trigger - [no] 4. Lunar: Eternal Blue Complete - [don't know. I would guess that it'...
