2D, 3D - no one is better than the other. A game is either great or not based on so many other factors than if it is 3D or 2D. That's just the delivery method.
Fact.

Re: Collecting Horror stories. What are yours?
I've sold my NES, SNES & N64 all mint & complete with all pack-ins & ditto for games, for peanuts. I've regretted it all and bought back sealed games & brand new systems at great expense (ie: new SNES - the Mario World one - for $400. Ouch). I have everything back, but I could have s...

Re: Overused Video Game Terminology
If I may, age certainly plays into it. I've been a gamer for 29 years, starting with the Intellivision in 1981 when I was 7 years old. The NES is the defining "retro" console for me. I consider "retro" to be something you regard fondly, something that evokes that childhood sense ...

Re: Buying games based on the composer/ sound director
Man, you guys are mentioning all sorts of games I haven't played, lol. Banjo-Koozie is one that looked alot like Crash Bandicoot in my opinion, but never gave it a shot. Never even got around to time splitters. I've got a lot of gaming to do. Platformers with a quirky sense of humour, and that's ab...

Re: Buying games based on the composer/ sound director
I have definitely bought games based on who the composer/sound designer was. Sound and music are huge to me, but I can certainly understand why others don't place them in as high of esteem. Grant Kirkhope is one. I loved his work in Banjo-Kazooie so I picked up Grabbed By The Ghoulies day one. The m...
