Re: Best way to store games?
I like big, sturdy, old-fashioned wood bookshelves. They hold tons of stuff and you don't have to worry about the shelves bowing or warping. Unfortunately, I have yet to get one of these for my game room. I do own some "media shelving" from Best Buy. One thing to note is that these partic...

Best way to store games?
I've been looking for better ways to store my games than the book shelves I have now. I have three generic book cases and I need to expand. They work alright but they are cheap budget shelves and I'd like to upgrade. I've seen a lot of different options like media cabinets, shallow book shelves, dra...

Re: Where I spend my time - Saturn/Dreamcast collection
Those little mini consoles are pretty cool but everything I can find about them online says they are no longer in production and people rarely put them up for sale.
Is it just me or does it seem like every retro gamer would grab those if they were available?

I'm with you on this one. I've never seen tiny model consoles. Where can I get those OP?

Re: Opening A Game Store?
There's one modestly successful game store in my area. Another one came and went in the last few years and another one is struggling a town over from the one that does well. The store that does well is clean and well organized. The owner is really knowledgeable about games and always willing to answ...

Re: Your journey into retro games?
I started out with a Coleco when I was a kid and eventually got a NES then a Genesis. After that I discovered computers and never had much interest in console games until years later. In 07 I started working with someone who collects retro games and realized how many good games came and went during ...

Re: Thoughts On the Ouya?
Is anyone else looking to get one and just leave it boxed? Maybe one day it will turn into one of those consoles that sold low numbers and nobody kept.

Skyrim is mine. I played the main story in 2011 and set it aside. I got it back out and played it way more just recently.

Re: Getting smells out
Hobie-wan is pretty spot on with the advice about cleaning electronics. So my advice is just an addition to his. I was a PC repair tech for a few years so I wanted to corroborate and add to stuff he said. Yes hold the fans when you spray them with canned air. You can over spin them which shortens th...

Re: Condition to Claim CIB
For me it's artwork, manual, and anything related to the game that came with it. The advertisements and system information and registration cards really don't matter. With import games you've also got spine cards which matters to some people and not to others. It's the same with me but I have some ...
