Re: Random Thoughts Thread
I don't really know more specifically than Hatteras Island and Outer Banks generically. I just saw it in the news and thought of you. I may have mentioned it before, but I'm generally pretty interested in what it's like to live in a tourist destination. Not because I want to live in one myself, but ...

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
If I really stretch my imagination I can sort of picture modding a Playstation Classic...
In all seriousness, this maybe isn't the best place for it, REPO, I've only now become aware of the houses that have collapsed on or near Hatteras island.
I was wondering how far away these are from you.

Re: The Wrestling Thread
For whatever it's worth, I never watch wrestling. I find it kind of fascinating, but I don't really have the time to keep up with it, and it seems like you really need to follow it to get most of the enjoyment from it. So I actually do enjoy reading this thread to see the commentary and the highligh...

53. Mother (Famicom) Heh. I got halfway through your write-up on Mother, thinking to myself "the game really didn't feel that broken or unbalanced to me." Then you commented about the changes for the aborted western release and I understood. That's the one I played. I still haven't played...

Re: The home/family PC and gaming mix - what to do?
I'm sure I could use Julia still, but I'm kind of curious about the pre-installed tool and how much it does or does not function like Matlab. Super late on this, but I'm pretty sure you're talking about Octave. I haven't used it in more than fifteen years, but it worked okay then. The real problem ...

18. Fantastic Dizzy Stupid puzzles and annoying platforming are combined into something more than the sum of its parts. Perhaps the anticipation of seeing if your solution actually works is heightened by putting dexterous challenges in your way. And there's adorkable energy abound, as the Darling B...

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I play only one game at a time.
If I let myself play multiple games at a time I tend to get stuck somewhere and trail off and never beat it because I've moved on to another game.
If I get tired of a game, I am still motivated to finish it because that way I can play something new.

Re: So what have you guys been watching lately?
Some time ago, I decided to give The Great North another shot after failing to click with the first episode on first watch. I'm glad I did since it's actually a pretty cool animated sitcom, set against the Alaskan wilderness and following a single dad, his three sons, teenage daughter and his adult...

It makes sense from the diner's perspective.
If 90% of the place is empty, they only keep one section open.

I've never heard of this, but I do occasionally play Framed, which is six stills from a movie.
