my ribbon doesn't zipzap it just goes left to right. And the modchip worked a few months ago, I just haven't played it since then. Alright I spliced the red wire that is connected to the modchip and then added the new 32 gauge wire. After that I tried it again to see if I got any power to the disc drive and I got nothing >_< I then decided to unhook the modchip and just hook the ribbon back into the saturn and still no the disc...

I got my saturn back out that I modded last year. I didn't solder anything down because I've never done it before and didn't want try something like that on this project. Alright thanks for explaining that. I'm going to just try and loop the signal wire around the 14th pin and maybe black tape it in place. If that's possible. Cause I won't really wanna solder since I've never done so.
