Re: What are you playing?
Here's what I've been playing lately... -Devil Hunter Yohko (Megadrive) Pretty meh. Reminds me of some of those old ninja games on the NES like Legend of Kage, and not in a good way. The biggest problem I have with this game so far is the ridiculous amounts of "leaps of faith" you have to ...

Re: Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
Yeah, I was fixin' to say, if you are being surrounded by enemies it's because you aren't using your throw to properly keep the enemies on one side. If the enemies didn't surround you, the game would be a cake walk. Attacking you from both sides is the only way the enemy can gain an advantage agains...

Nichijou hasn't been out for over a decade yet, though.

Re: Together Retro: R-Type
Well, after what must have been my 30-something attempt at Stage 4's boss on R-Type II, I've decided that my mental health is not worth this game. I give up. I guess I'll go back to the original R-Type. At least the first one had the good sense to have the boss fights end in a matter of seconds, all...

Re: Together Retro: R-Type
Yeah, I was able to get past level 4 on R-Type and level 3 on R-Type II. It is super brutal, really punishing. I do like that you at least get generous check points in the arcade versions. It's been a long time since I've played Super R-Type but apparently there weren't checkpoints there. It's like ...

Re: Together Retro: R-Type
Welp, just downloaded a Mame Rom of R-Type, and yeah, it's definitely NOT the game itself, R-Type itself is actually super responsive, I could immediately feel the difference and beat the first level first try while it took me like four game over screens to do the same on R-Types. It's definitely s...

Re: Playstation Vita thread
Got Toukiden Kiwami, had it sent in from another store. They sent a new copy even though I asked for used, but they changed it to used.
So I got a new copy of the game for $5.
Woot woot.
