Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Also, cars are a lot more reliable now than they were a couple decades ago. Yes, I am serious and I mean that. They're hella expensive to repair (for some parts), but by and large they just operate. My latest car is almost 9 years old and it's still fantastically operational. My mom can't drive any...

Gucci! Haven't seen you in a while. As you can see, the forum may look a little different, but everything's the same.

Re: Genre of the Month (MAY 2024 TR) - Really Rad Racers

I've always preferred my racers to be rad to be honest. I've been playing a lot of Enduro on the 2600 recently. It's a great game and one that I've somehow missed out on before now. I love the arcade versions of Pole Position and Pole Position II. Beautiful, crisp, clean graphics and solid gameplay....

Re: Games Acquired 2024

I still hold that the Vectrex is the most objectively COOL system ever. What are your thoughts on overlays? I've been playing Mine Storm for a couple days with the repro overlay that it came with. The screen seemed sort of washed out, but I figured that was due to the hardware being more than 40 ye...

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts

I've had a Jaguar since the late 90s when I bought it from someone selling them at closeout prices. I've owned most of the most notable titles, selling them off bit by bit when I needed money. I sold this last few that I wanted to part with in 2020/2021 with the idea of using the money I got from th...

Ugh those comments. People will get angry about anything.

Re: Beer!

I love a good hefe, but a hefe is an ale. But I get what you’re saying. I don’t like IPAs or any of that hoppy nonsense that all ends up tasting like dry pine needles. I also dig high gravity stuff, because I can drink one beer and really feel it. And they usually taste pretty good, too, as long as...

Re: Beer!

I don't drink much beer but I have a nice set of pint glasses that I love. They're an artist's take on the original 1980 Burger King Empire Strikes Back glasses that every house seemed to have in the early 80s. It's nice because now I can enjoy a beverage and acknowledge a classic film without getti...
