Re: Together Retro: DoDonPachi
Built a MAME cabinet for our break room at work. Had funding from the company and everything, it's a pretty nice setup to get busy with during lunch or breaks. Hard to keep people working though Lots of shmups on it and this one is easily one of the best - I've had a thing for Fever SOS, Esp.Galuda ...

Spin by Robert Charles Wilson
Really great Sci-Fi book circa 2005 I just read this past Fall and loved. Lots of action, lots of hard science and a lot more really compelling interactions between characters. Hate most new Sci-Fi but this won me over as a great new book for the genre.

Re: kohina
I stream kohina pretty regularly, a few times a week when I'm online fiddling around. I was blown away when I was introduced by this track for Driller by Matt Gray - never had a C64 and realize I missed out on awesome stuff.

Re: What Are The Hardest NES Games Ever?
I'll add one I haven't seen mentioned to the list: http://media.strategywiki.org/images/thumb/6/65/Mystery_Quest_NES_box.jpg/250px-Mystery_Quest_NES_box.jpg In college I wanted to jokingly beat this fairly awful game. I managed to beat it... once, which apparently isn't enough. I think I read you ha...

Re: best sports games for nes?
I feel like I've seen a few topics regarding NES sports games in the past and I don't believe I've heard any mention of my personal favorite: Little League Baseball http://www.thecaptainsmemos.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/Little_Leage_Baseball_NES_ScreenShot1.jpg Perhaps it's that I didn't play al...

I just don't see how you could sleep at night without fulfilling Ryu Hayabusa's bloodlust for demons. I voted Ninja Gaiden (NES)

Re: Light Crusader
I really liked Light Crusader. I was big on RPGs and I loved my Genesis so I tried most of them even if they sucked. But my faves were the usual Phantasy Star and Shining Force, then Landstalker and Light Crusader after them. LC was pretty weird though. I mean, the music is pretty mellow and dark ev...
