Re: Games Beaten 2024

First 25: 01: Monster Hunter Rise Still too much time spent in menus for my liking, and the enemies could have used more attacks, but otherwise enough experimentation possible to make it worth my time. 6/10 02: Age of Empires II Because it's so easy to understand what buildings/units do, this is pro...

Re: Why do people like roguelikes?

I wouldn't consider Inscryption a Rogue-like because it's more about playing with our conception of card games (mostly Slay the Spire). Most meta-horror games (and movies) are deliberately bad. Re: What are you playing?

Sekiro, just beat Genichiro (guy on top of the castle). Really enjoying the open-endedness of encounters! Also playing Radiant Silvergun, which I think it even harder! I remember that fight. I had a lot of fun with Sekiro, and that battle in particular was a fun one. Just don't go jumping in the ca...

Anyone else playing Animal Well? Everybody's extremely positive about it :D
I've just gotten started, so far it's like a more casual Rain World. But I expect way more amazement to come!

Re: Must Listen Podcasts?

https://shows.acast.com/the-back-page-a-video-games-podcast The Back Page Podcast features Samuel Roberts and Mathew Castle (yeah yeah, I know he gave Skyward Sword a 10 in Edge, but please give him a chance), who have extensive knowledge of games. They're extremely entertaining, and you got to love...
