Most of the repair guides I have seen cover the actual lens or electronics of the Sega CD unit, but my issue is that if I turn it on with a CD in it, it makes a really load sound as the disc spins up, and then it fails to read. If I put a heavy book on top, it actually operates perfectly and quietly...
