Re: iOS Game Recommendations
I've been on an RPG kick lately, so here are some of my favorites. All of them are retro-themed and inexpensive, from $0.99 to $2.99: Cthulhu Saves the World (port of the Xbox Indie RPG) Dragon Fantasy (great homage to Dragon Warrior) Knights of Pen and Paper (brilliant D&D style RPG) Slayin' (s...

Re: Guide to Emulating TG-16/PCE CD games on the Wii
Finally got around to trying RetroArch as an alternative to WiiMednafen. Unfortunately, I can't get any of my ripped games to load in it. They all work fine in WiiMednafen, but every time I point to the .cue file with RetroArch I get a generic "error." Already double-checked twice that the...

Wow, I didn't even know that RetroArch was an option. Will definitely try it out. Thanks!

Guide to Emulating TG-16/PCE CD games on the Wii
It took me a while to figure out all the steps to make this work well, but now my Wii is performing one hell of a Turbo Duo impression, and I can easily play all my ripped TurboGrafx-16/PC Engine CD games on my Wii. Anyway, hopefully this guide enables you to skip straight to near-perfect emulation ...

Re: Games Beaten 2013
Dragon Fantasy (iOS) I've been looking for a solid retro-style RPG for a while, and this was the perfect answer. It's heavily styled in the feel of the original Dragon Quest games, but includes many key improvements: tons of humor, much better chip tunes, and the battle engine works very fast (so mu...

Re: Thoughts/reviews on Wii emulators?
I'll throw in another plug for WiiMednafen. It plays all my CD games like a champ. The emulation is near flawless compared to playing them on my Turbo Duo. Once in a while, there's a really short oddity in the sound--just a little blurp--but I'd still call it a 99% effective solution. Coincidentally...

Thanks. At the moment, I don't have an rss feed. It's one of those things I keep meaning to set up, but I never seem to get around to it.

Re: The Top 5 games that defined your childhood
Nice video. It's hard to narrow it down to just five, but here are some that I enjoyed immensely and sunk huge amounts of time into, often with my brother or a group of friends. Contra (NES) --Playing it again and again until I could beat it with just three lives Final Fantasy (NES) --Discovering th...
