Re: Ouya, Raspberry Pi or both?

I'd love to see if it's possible to make an all purpose arcade machine out of an old cabinet Ouya, an LED monitor and an X-Arcade stick. ( That's my 2nd mention of the stick today- promise I'm not trying to plug it! )

Re: Neo Geo AES question

I'd love the challenge of building something... but if I'm brutally honest with myself I'd probably screw it up. Probably best for me to leave it to the professionals.

Re: Ouya Emulation

I love my Ouya, but it has it's drawbacks. Sometimes I just want to play something, but it's update structure gets in the way. I may not have the fastest download speeds- in an old neighborhood- but the updates take forever and they can't be skipped, regardless of if you want to go online or not. As...

Re: Should I just emulate?

Just my two cents here... Emulation hasn't always been that satisfying for me. There's something to be said for playing something the original way. But that can often be ludicrously expensive. Emulation breaks down that barrier. My Ouya let's me play things I could never afford. Now, if I could only...

Re: Question About Dreamcast/Saturn Compatible Arcade Sticks

I've been thinking of getting an X-Arcade one- one stick, multiple adapters for multiple consoles. If anyone's used one, I'd love to hear some feedback before I take the plunge.

Re: How is your Dreamcast gaming going on?

I only brought Time Stalkers because of the Landstalker connection- I just can't get into it though.

Re: Neo Geo AES question

I highly recommend reading deeply on the subject before you make the plunge. The AES is great, but some games you will want, like Metal Slug, are stupidly expensive if you get them in NTSC-U. That said, you cannot go wrong with a CMVS. If you are lucky you might be able to find one slotted inside a...

Re: Neo Geo AES question

Thanks for the replies people, lots to think about.

I appreciate that it's on the expensive side of collecting, hence my looking at the Neo Geo CD too. I guess I want the Neo Geo experience, which means Neo Geo controllers too.

The Neo Geo Gold X thing looked interesting... until I read the reviews.

Neo Geo AES question

Apologies if this isn't the right area for this... After playing some Neo Geo games on my Ouya recently, I've fallen pretty hard for the Neo Geo. But I want to do right by her, so I'm looking to get an actual system. I know that the Neo Geo CD is the cheapest entry level way, but if I'm going to spe...
