Re: SNES or FFIII Technical Issue
I'm willing to bet you just had to clean the cart pins and/or the console's cart slot more. There's been a few times now where I've cleaned one or the other and thought it looked fine but was still giving me problems and required additional cleaning. I've had the pins of a NES cart look so shiny bu...

Re: SNES or FFIII Technical Issue
So I contacted the seller and he was nice enough to let me send it back so he can take a look at the board. My concern is that the board looks pristine. I'm honestly surprised it's the game, but the problem is definitely not an snes pin issue. Any thoughts in other snes I hardware issues that could ...

Re: SNES or FFIII Technical Issue
Ok, I opened the game up and it definitely looks legit. I also tried loading other saves and they appear to have the same issue.. I can get through a fight or two then I get to a fight where the sprites are messed up (they almost appear to be swaps for other non-enemy sprites). After that battle it ...

Re: SNES or FFIII Technical Issue
How would I be able to tell if it is a repro (yes I have the tools)? Also I should note that the game came with various saves still on it, so someone at some time was able to get farther on it.

SNES or FFIII Technical Issue
I recently purchased FFIII on eBay and the cart is in great cosmetic condition. The pins also look very clean. I put it in my SNES and everything worked fine until about the third battle. At that point it would present some graphical issues with the enemy sprites and then freeze after the battle. I ...

Re: Retro Game Store Directory
Would anyone happen to know if there are any Retro stores in Baltimore Maryland, specifically the harbor area? Or what stores would be closest? I'll be heading there around October, and I'm in need of a Game Boy fix. I've scouted a great deal of the Baltimore harbor area on foot, and I haven't seen...

lwcook wrote:Neither of those cards support direct saving. You have to backup and restore saves from the system to the cart.
If you want direct saving, get the official Sega cart.
Wonderful!
Good to know at least. Also, I'll look for the reset button.

Re: Saturn won't save to backup carts
Ok. I replaced the battery in the Saturn, so I can save to the system now, but still not the AR. I tried just backing up the save. I then recopied it to the system, but the system didn't recognize it. I also have a memory card plus (not official, I think). I can't seem to get the system to recognize...

I know changing the battery is easy, but I didn't try it because I didn't think it was necessary. I'll Try replacing it. Thanks.

Re: Saturn won't save to backup carts
You can't save directly to the action replay anyway. That's normal. Replacing the internal Saturn battery is quite simple. Just pop off that little door on the back of the system and put a new CR2032 in. You can get them at all kinds of places, I think even wal-mart sells them. I don't know much ab...
