Re: At what age did you become a retro gamer?
Well, being that I'm 34 and I've been playing almost as long, I think I technically started as a retro gamer. I've never moved on from the classics, and have no intention of doing so. EVER

I'm putting my money on that solder joint being the problem. I'd look up some video tutorials on youtube or something like that before having another go at it.

Re: Bacteria's project: "Project Unity"
Obviously you know what you're doing. That wasn't ever a question in my mind.
Just thought you may have missed/not considered the ribbon route since it can be a easier to manage and is more presentable
Anyway, this thing is a monster and I can't wait to see it completed

Re: Bacteria's project: "Project Unity"
How do you mean? Those don't appear to be any more shielded than SCSI ribbon. Is that not just 26-28G shielded wire?
edit: I only meant for the cart ports, not everything. Didn't want to cause confusion there.

Re: Bacteria's project: "Project Unity"
Have you ever considered using SCSI or some other ribbon cable instead of all those loose wires? It would be worlds easier to keep track of, not to mention a lot tidier
