Re: Ergonomic mice
I used a vertical mouse from Logitech a while back -- this is the newer version of it https://www.logitech.com/en-us/products/mice/mx-vertical-ergonomic-mouse.910-005447.html I had pretty bad carpel tunnel issues for a while. Honestly a wrist brace during work time for a year or two worked better th...

Re: Official Racketboy Suggestion Forum Thread
I just noticed something that I think changed in the search function with the forum software update. I cannot search for things that are less than 4 characters. I'm almost positive that I remember being able to search for things like "PS2" or "GBA" and stuff like that. But now w...

Re: NES in 2019 - clone console or original?
That's actually one of the cooler looking cheap clones I've seen -- nice score all-around!

I actually have been surprised that it keeps me logged in as much as it has.
Can anyone else chime in?
Edit: I use Safari -- what's everyone else use?

Re: NEW RB Server - Forum Upgrade - Some WIP
I shared this info with marurun privately, but figured I should share here as well: In regards to the Unread posts issue he mentioned, nothing has changed on the code, so I'm surprised by that particular behavior. The only thing that should be in flux is sessions as I need to manually clear those ou...

Re: My AMD K6-2 Small Form Factor PC Build
I'm really curious to see how you progress on this -- the drive stuff especially is of interest to me.
I'm hoping to re-do my 286 DOS / GeoWorks machine with an SD card, but would also like a Windows 98 machine again someday....

Oh really?! That's cool. I don't know if I did anything that would have fixed that -- interesting!Jagosaurus wrote: ↑Fri Aug 02, 2024 10:52 am The "remember password" function worked today for me. Was bombing out before.
The report post function still doesn't work. I thought those would have had the same root cause.

Re: NEW RB Server - Forum Upgrade - Some WIP
A back-end update: I finally cleared out the old search database index (after months of switching to the newer database search) and it cut the forum database size in half. I made the cut as I had a hunch that might be causing big once-a-day CPU spikes (that sometimes cascade into acutal downtime). S...

Re: NEW RB Server - Forum Upgrade - Some WIP
Also, as an addendum I noticed, the Forgot Password link from the login page is currently broken. Yeah, that's on the list still -- it's a stubborn thing that seems to stem from the complexity of running the forum in a subfolder undernearth Wordpress while running nginx as the webserver software (v...
