Re: Austin, TX meet ups thread

I actually ended up having to go to Austin on Monday, but to pick up an Amiga.

Checked out Game Over on 183 & Lamar. Awesome store!

Re: Racketboy's Video Reviewers (Working List)

I have some reviews on my channel.

Mostly arcade game play (from original PCBs) and obscure system reviews.

Re: Austin, TX meet ups thread

Once we get a confirmation on a location, I can put the feelers out to some of the North Texas folks to see if they want to tag along.

Re: Austin, TX meet ups thread

Sounds good. I'm getting a lot of "can't come"s from people. Lots of folks are going out of town. The wife is going out of town, so I am going to snag her Altima, which makes bringing my monitor a little easier. Some PC speakers would be appreciated. If we are going to fully enjoy this ga...

Re: Austin, TX meet ups thread

I have one I *can* bring, but it's a 22" CRT and it's not fun to lug around, especially in my tiny car. If it comes down to it and nobody has one, I can bring mine. It has to be a CRT though, because most LCDs won't detect a signal since most X68000 games run below or around 320 x 240 resolution.

Re: Austin, TX meet ups thread

Awesome! I'll keep an eye out for any updates.

The MVS is not consolized unfortunately.

In that case all I would need is a VGA CRT monitor if you guys want to play the X68/FM Towns.

If you have never played one, you guys are in for a treat.

Re: Austin, TX meet ups thread

Unfortunately, that would probably be the only time I would be able to make it down for the foreseeable future. I can sometimes be tagged on Friday to work on Saturdays (office space style), so it's difficult to plan a road trip to Austin otherwise. I don't mean to be difficult, but I would like to ...

Re: Post a photo & description of a cool item in your collec

These are Sharp X68000 computers. The model on the left is an older model, while the single tower version on the right is a newer model with a faster CPU. They were released by Sharp in Japan in the late 80s. These computers have some awesome games and ports that were released for it. Here is a quic...
