I finally caught this a couple of months ago. I went in thinking I would hate it. I was disappointed in that regard.

The last new-ish movie I've seen was Expendables 3. The novelty has worn off.

Re: Terminator Genisys

I'm still trying to figure out how the CG in the Genisys trailer looks worse than the CG from 20 years ago.

Re: Anybody Into Collecting Knives?

Hard to believe, but I've actually sold off most of my knives since I last posted in this thread. Now all I have are a few Spyderco's, a Kershaw Zing Tanto, Buck Vantage and a couple of Victorinos SAK's. The main thing I'm waiting for now are the Spyderco Kitchen knives. They're supposed to start pr...

Re: Tips for moving to New York City

m There's another article on living in NYC on $36,000 a year. Of course, that was written in 2008, so I'm sure costs have gone up quite a bit. An offhand guesstimation would say you could change that amount to $42,000-$45,000 for today. Maybe more, maybe less, I don't know. If you're deadset on movi...

Re: Tips for moving to New York City

REPO, Are you and your family still on Hatteras Island? If so, I'm going to go against the grain and suggest a sideways move to Wilmington, NC. Why? 1. It's cheaper than NYC. 2. You might be able to keep your shorts on for most of the year. It does get cold, but on average it's going to be quite a b...

Re: SNES issue

I guess it's possible. I just remember playing it for a bit, then boxing it back up. When it was put away, it worked fine. Now that I think about it, it's been stored in a closet for close to two years. As far as I know, it never fell off the shelf or anything. When I first took it back out, I used ...

Re: SNES issue

Yeah, the tv certainly isn't the greatest.

Here's another shot on another tv. Pardon the lighting, it's horrible in this room.

Re: SNES issue

So I tried the credit card and cardboard tricks, and didn't have any luck there. I also tried cleaning a couple of the carts again, and that didn't work either. Oh, I'm also using the Multi-Out plug for video and audio. The same plug worked on my N64. Here's a shot of the tv when the SNES is off htt...

Re: SNES issue

I'll give that one a shot too, thanks Hobie. I'll mess around with it in just a little bit, hopefully I'll have good news soon.

Re: SNES issue

I cleaned the carts before I tried them, so I don't think that's the issue. That all depends on how you cleaned them. http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=501002 Luke, I used a cleaning kit from the Nintendo Repair Shop. It's basically just a light polish and an alcohol solution. The SNES...
