Re: Budget build capable of VR
Thanks, I have been referencing that site along with gpucheck.com and pc-builds.com. I think I will hold out and get an Oculus Quest. Wait and buy an RX 580 and a Link for the quest down the road. The performance wouldnt be perfect but suitable for me I think. On another note, I almost caved and got...

Re: Budget build capable of VR
Unfortunate. Though, I was fairly certain it would be pretty bad. I built it for console/arcade emulation originally. I didn't need anything more than an R3 for that project. I'm just learning as I go here. If I don't know of a good starting off point? Where do I begin then if I want to step it up??...

Budget build capable of VR
Hi everyone. So I currently have a Ryzen 3 3200G dipping my feet with the integrated graphics for the time being. Though down the road I want to get a GPU and then eventually a better CPU so my build would be VR capable. Only really trying to achieve 1080p 60fps low-mid settings. If I went ahead and...

Re: First PC build EVER, Mostly Emulation, VR maybe?
For PS2 or newer, getting an inexpensive dedicated GPU over the integrated APU is recommended... ETA Prime is my go-to for information on these types of topics m FWIW, its overkill but my emulation PC is the Intel NUC Hades Canyon with AMD GPU... its a beast for a compact emulation system and VR ma...

Re: First PC build EVER, Mostly Emulation, VR maybe?
That's crazy, what was emulating Saturn well in 2008? I know SSF was/is supposedly decent. I had a feeling PSVR was limited compared to PC, I've got time to hop on the wagon for that. It really is just a mild curiosity at this moment. But I was wondering if people would try modding older games to wo...

Re: First PC build EVER, Mostly Emulation, VR maybe?
You know after a lot of digging and thinking, I think I’m just going to stick with the Ryzen 3 3200G. Or probably 3400G I could eventually add a capable GPU for new games and vr down the road if I wanted to. I’ve found some forums of a few people that have used the same CPU with decent results in VR...

Re: Emulation rig
That guy knows his stuff pretty well. I have found that he was a little hasty in dismissing some hardware without trying to tweak some settings in the drivers, but he is after all making a lot of videos so he doesn't have much time to spend on each part of every system. I've been planning to build ...

Re: First PC build EVER, Mostly Emulation, VR maybe?
Interesting so, do you think I would be able to run emulation up to Dreamcast off of just a good cpu without a GPU? I was pretty set on getting a Ryzen with integrated graphics, BECAUSE of the integrated graphics. I thought maybe it would be needed to have at least decent quality integrated graphics...

First PC build EVER, Mostly Emulation, VR maybe?
Hello! As the subject entails, I want to do my first build. I am currently researching the heck out of PC compnents and as I'm sure it goes without saying there's quite an overwhelming amount of variety going on there. I grew up on consoles. Originally I only wanted the PC for emulation, RPI is not ...

Re: Emulation rig
PC. I have solid 60 FPS with no lag on most emulators on an I3 2120 with 8 G ram. This is an easy goal. Dell Optiplex 390 with a Radeon HD 7400 because it was the cheapest crap that met my needs, and I built the computer part of it for under $100 CAD a few years ago . The system was a budget busine...
