I try not to play too many JRPGs in a short time-span. They tend to be very similar to one another, and randomly encountered enemies in a turn-based battle system get old quick.

In my opinion, only the second ZoE is worth the attention. The first game's nowhere near as good.

The industry doesn't really know what's good for it. Jak & Daxter 738 will always sell boatloads, but brilliantly well-written dialogue does not make game sales. Despite Psychonauts being adored by critics and Schafer fans alike, it sold pretty badly. Jaws Unleashed sold triple the amount, which...

I never really enjoyed the Myst games, to be honest. I crave character interaction. While the Myst worlds are frequently beautiful, they tend to feel empty to me.

Adventure, especially point and click. I assume your tastes might be similar with a username like Zork ;).

I miss the olden, golden days of Lucasarts.

This place looks great so far. The posting seems to be genuinely higher quality than most, and everyone's knowledge of some of the more obscure classics out there is impressive.

Heart of Darkness is a great, albeit very hard, puzzle platformer by the creator of Out of this World. If you loved that as much as I did, definitely check that out.

And actually, Skullmonkeys is the direct sequel to one hell of an obscure adventure game, The Neverhood.

I loved this game. Tim Schafer just seemingly can't go wrong. This, Grim Fandango, Full Throttle, Day of the Tentacle... The man is my personal gaming God.
