Re: What is your favorite Mortal Kombat game?
Deadly alliance was always one of my favorites....but if I had to pick something more "retro" it would probably be mk III....I was always more of a killer instinct fan when it came to this era tho

Re: Code Veronica Gamecube vs PS2
Truthfully, Biohazard Code Veronica Kanzenban on Dreamcast destroys both ports mentioned here. Heck, even standard Resident Evil CV release is still better even with the lack of "X" additions which is simply just additional cutscenes added to the campaign. Games look mighty fine running i...

Re: arcade cabinet noob with a broken cab please help
Do a cap kit before you go buying a whole new monitor. A cap kit should only run you about 6 bucks. (just make sure you get the right one for the monitor chassis you have) Korn -> Are you comfortable with soldiering? ya im not scared i did my own 360 JTAG and various other projects worst case i mes...

Re: arcade cabinet noob with a broken cab please help
so why would replacing a CRT with an LCD make the picture be horizontal instead of vertical? You'll just have to make sure the LCD is rotated too. But yeah modern TVs often don't play nice with low res signals over things like vga inputs. not liking the costs of an actual arcade monitor......they a...

Re: arcade cabinet noob with a broken cab please help
a newer TV probably wouldn't be very happy with the signal that the arcade board outputs ...plus the image would be turned on its side. what determines the orientation of the picture? i have played PS1 and NES and such on the newer TV's i dont see too much of a difference.....and tracking down a tu...

Re: arcade cabinet noob with a broken cab please help
If that doesn't fix it, or there really are heavy burn-ins, then yeah... you'll want a new monitor. Also... the switches are usually inside the cabs. I think I mentioned that in the other thread where you first started talking about your new cab. Well, now you know. well the switch here was defiant...

Re: arcade cabinet noob with a broken cab please help
got it to turn on.....some one relocated the switch up inside the cab rather than on top of it.....the picture is horrid tho and NONE of the tube adjustments fix it or make it any better......im wondering if i could possibly be getting unclean power or something, either way the tube has burn ins on ...
