Re: Games Beaten 2024

Critical plot points in secrets do not make for good story design. At most, you should have some reveal relevant to a sequel in a secret; not the parts that make your story actually decent. I actually agree that they shouldn't have buried some of those revelations. That said, keeping the various ch...

Re: Games Beaten 2024

Marathon is overall an ambitious game that suffers from poor level design, poor weapon design, poor physics, a...

My car from 2015 has a CD player but you have to slide the screen down tog etc to the opening. I don’t think I’ve ever used a CD in the thing.

Re: Racketboy Summer Games Challenge 2024

I’m gonna throw Faxanadu into the hat. It was supposed to be Hudson porting Falcom’s Xanadu from PC to NES (Famicom Xanadu = Faxanadu) but Hudson decided to run with it. Very exploration and luzzle item-focused, as was the vibe of the time. Good soundtrack by Jun Chikuma. Irritated Falcom to no end ...

Re: Streaming music

I'd like to buy vinyl, but I don't know where I'd store them and supposedly CD audio is higher quality anyway. Vinyl collecting seems more like a novelty for serious music nerds and I'm really just a casual fan of music. CD is far and away a more accurate replication of what was recorded, but some ...

Re: Streaming music
