Re: Achtung repro makers: Roms stripped of gaudy intro avail
Sure like with the Final Fantasy III NES translation I popped onto EPROMs not too long ago. Or a bit of something on the title/save screen. Thing is stripping out their credits entirely is a no-no in my mind. If you can't do better you shouldn't strip it out. Not like reproduction creation is all th...

Re: The RGB NES jamma adapter
The rgb from the ppu first passes through a sony cxa2075 circuit for a couple of reasons. The cxa2075 amps the signals up to home standard strength and it also converts the signal into perfect looking s-video. The rgb from the ppu stays crisp when passing through this encoder circuit at close range...

It's just a board to hold both chips so people don't have to make their own? Or am I missing something? It looks like I could easily do that on a single sided board if so.

Re: corrupted graphics in ff3 for snes
Someone sent me a Super Mario RPG cart that starts off fine but dived into a mess of corrupted graphics and finally freezes during the intro. I've also read several other threads on Assemblergames and Digital Press of people having these same issues. While maskrom is difficult to damage I'm starting...

Re: The RGB NES jamma adapter
I'm going to go out on a limb and assume you were using a Playchoice 10 PPU for this NES; assuming that is correct what sort of amplification does the PC10 board use for output from the PPU?

Re: Sega saturn hookup question?
This might work for you, but it isn't a cheap fix. (And is discontinued.) I think getting a Saturn SCART cable and a SCART to HDMI converter is your best bet. So do they no longer make TVs with S-video support? Pretty lame if that's the case. In this day and age where high definition is the standar...

Re: Tell me about the SOCOM games for PS2
The games had little to no patching and as a result Gamesharks were commonly used to cheat online. Was ridiculously rampant last time I played years ago.

Re: New Dreamcast concept
Is this just some dude with a what if idea and way too much time on his hands? Is this some prototype by Sega? Is he trying to pitch this to Sega? What's going on here? This is what happens when a graphic designer is: 1)Out of work 2)Been awake for 3 days straight snorting cocaine 3)Actually thinks...
