Re: Has a video game ever made you shed a tear?

I cried at the end (the good ending) of Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World. Kinda cheesy, I know.

Re: Is Gamestop Evil? The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Ha, yeah I know I still bought it. The GS around here is always kinda weird about DS games. Sometimes they'll give you a sealed one from behind the counter, sometimes they'll simply pop the cartridge in the case and hand you back the floor model. Depends on their inventory I guess. That time I was u...

Re: Good computer RPGs

Try Knights of Xentar . Yeah, it's an eroge, but it's not a bad RPG either. Keeps pretty close to the JRPG formula. But yes, you are missing out big time if you stick to JRPGs on the PC. You might try some of the early western RPGs that inspired JRPGs, eg Ultima IV. Knights of Xentar is fantastic, ...

Re: Is Gamestop Evil? The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Check out the condition of this "NEW" game I bought at GameStop awhile back. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v227/daveisdead/dsgame.jpg Other than the ripped price tag (which, who cares) I don't see the issue. Maybe I just can't see it because that particular photo is bad. Enlighten me....

Re: Have you ever bought games for consoles you don't own?

Went to a con last month and saw four beatiful Super Famicom games at a vendor table, $10 bucks each. I bought them, but have no Super Famicom. :/ Oh, and this probably doesn't count, but I had lotsa PS1 and Gamecube games before I had either system (used a PS2 and Wii to play them). Ok, I've been ...

Re: Is Gamestop Evil? The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

I haven't had time (yet) to read the rest of the thread, but let me tell yous... I HATE Gamestop. Short list why: - They only stock popular current gen games (can't really fault them for this, but it is annoying). - Prices are generally pretty bad. Games that have dropped down to $19.99 on Amazon an...

Re: Power Base Converter

Thanks guys.

I actually tried to mount it on a model 2 once I got home. Thankfully I have a model 1 in the closet (still has a $4.99 price tag on it lol).

Re: Playstation Portable = Sega Saturn in terms of marketing

Yeah, I'm not sure what's going on with the PSP. When I look through game database sites (like GameFAQs), I see tons of JRPGs that look right up my alley. But.... when I go into an actual store that sells PSP games, I'm greeted by an incredibly tiny selection of sports games, racing games, army man ...
