Re: GAME GEARing like a boss

Thanks for the recs duders. I really wanna get Shining Force. And Psychic World, because of the cute anime graphics. The other day I was in a video game store looking at GameGear games. But my wife called and yelled at me when she found out I was shopping for games. Maybe I'll return next week and g...

Anyone ever take a huge break from gaming?

I can barely believe it when I think back on it, but I didn't touch video games from 2001 - 2006. Just suffered from burnout I guess. I was a huge SNES fan back in the day (still am) and was obsessed with JRPGs (again, I still am). I remember when the N64 and Playstation came out in the late ninetie...

GAME GEARing like a boss

Just got a Game Gear and three games in the mail. Tested the three games and ONLY the sound worked, no picture. In a rage, I began searching for the seller's return address and a box so I could pack up the busted handheld and ship it back to the mofo who had the cojones to sell me busted goods. Then...

Re: Disabled Gaming

Thanks for sharing your story. Do you like turn-based RPGs? Many can be played as slowly and leisurely as you like. Radiant Historia for the DS is a good modern example (doesn't require the stylus). I always thought the Agetec ASCII Grip was a great controller for disabled gamers (or any gamers, rea...

Halo, GTA, Call of Duty, etc...

Fratboy garbage, video games for people who don't like video games.

Re: Anyone have this "problem" with a refurbished NES?

Thanks guys. I always remembered pushing down games as a kid, so I was confused when all of these games worked in the upright position.

Anyone have a 3.5" floppy drive on a modern computer?

Been thinking about installing one, mainly to play classic DOS games using DOSBox. Anyone else do this? I've heard the internal drives are more reliable than USB ones.

Anyone have this "problem" with a refurbished NES?

So I got a refurbished NES (cleaned with a new 72 pin connector) from nintendorepairshop.com (great site, by the way). Every game fits really tightly, and plays flawlessly on the first try if I don't push them down . It's no problem, I'm thrilled to have an NES that finally works. I'm just wondering...

Re: What is the oldest video game in your collection?

Just like the OP, my oldest game is Combat.

My oldest non-A2600 game is the Mario Bros. Game & Watch.

Re: Operation C for Game Boy

Good game, but I haven't made it past level 4 yet.

Anyone else find the jumping (over holes) awkward?
