Re: Summer Games Challenge 2025 - GET EQUIPPED

You know what else I just discovered? That you can apparently drive tanks in this game. (Nathaniel: "Yeah, I'm pretty sure getting in a tank is like, the first thing you do in one of those levels??") Whoopsienoodles. Well, just let it be known I took out that trio of rocket launcher...

Re: Summer Games Challenge 2025 - GET EQUIPPED

Cradle was real fun, though, seriously. Really ended things on a high note. By coincidence I had started playing GoldenEye out of the blue just a couple days ago. I read through all your posts and kid me got excited all over again. I deleted my last save and started over. Finally beat it (can't mar...

Re: Chromecast as basic home theater solution

This isn't a ground-breaking update but I have since acquired a small tv for the kitchen counter. I looked online and in various stores for a small counter-top size tv but the smallest I could find was around 25/27 inches. Way too large for my modest counter space. I told my mom about my frustratio...

Re: Chromecast as basic home theater solution

Google supposedly has better privacy, despite being a massive ad company, than Amazon or especially Roku. The Nvidia Shield is also an option, but I don't know whether it has continued active support. Apple TV probably has the best privacy options, but it's not the cheapest option, for sure. What's...

Re: Games Beaten 2025

The original Portal came out when I was in my Junior year in college--. Anyway, I played both Portals a couple years after Portal 2 released, and they are very cool games. I agree. I've also experienced the 'I was too young and/or stupid to appreciate this at first, but as an adult it's pre...

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts

I remember stickers plastered all over carts from blockbuster/movie gallery but I never seen branding . Savages! Blockbuster post 2000 was better, since we replaced all the DVD/games cases with our own. I bought a ton of DVDs after we rotated them out, though we had fewer games and they lasted on t...

Re: Games Beaten 2025

I knocked out two more BurgerTime games while traveling through the Japanese countryside. Are you pairing that with city pop (if you're outside Tokyo/Yokohama or Osaka) or koto music (outside Kyoto/Nara). BurgerTime Deluxe is a pretty great GameBoy game. It keeps the arcade original’s gameplay, but...

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts

Writing mini-reviews for classic games and leaving behind low scores has had me worrying you all think I'm a grump. Okay, perhaps I am. But I really do love a lot of games. I have a top 250 games, soon to be updated to a top 500 this Summer. So if anybody here thinks I'm a negative Nancy, here are ...

marurun wrote: Tue Apr 15, 2025 10:29 am Well crud, I didn't see that link when I looked at it before. But I also see that first post was edited a couple times. I guess that sorts that, then.
Makes me wonder how many spam links might have been edited in days, weeks, or months after posting.

Re: Statistics software for kitesurf

Hey everyone (especially riders)! :) NGL, this is an odd thing to post about on a classic video gaming forum. You've only got two posts and they're both on this same topic. Are you lost? Do you have anything to contribute related to the forum's theme? Nothing odd about it. It's just a spammer. Even...
