Re: WELL THIS IS INTERESTING.. Retron 5

if it hasn't been mentioned yet, i was huffing about the potential issues with this thing on twitter and they contacted me claiming that their FM emulation has been completely reworked for the Genesis and that their Famicom slot supports all audio expansion chips. i'm willing to bet it's using a sof...

the PGM is great. i've got Demon Front and Bee Storm for it and they both kick like a mule. great collection, dude, loving all the arcade boards. PGM+Atomiswave+NeoGeo+CPS2 love from another collector here! :)

Re: AV splitter

i grabbed an 8-in-2-out splitter off of ebay, there are plenty of sellers on there from hong kong and such selling them for around $20 or so. it's well worth it, especially since i used to chain 3 or 4 3-in-1-out splitters together, and that was a hassle.

Re: Most Unreliable console from your experience ?

i've only had one NES kick the bucket on me (got sick of replacing pins, just got a top loader instead), but my god i've gone through some N64s in my time. the connectors on it are such trash! hahaha no other real console tragedies here, but i've had a couple arcade boards die on me. now those are u...

Re: Exo Squad (an ETREMELY underrated Genesis game)

i grew up with this one... fond memories, but it's an unfortunately rotten title, hahaha... the controls are unresponsive nonsense and the flying levels are motion sickness-inducing... and i don't even get motion sick!

it does have badass music though, fun tunes all the way through!

Re: Backwards Compatibility

the PS2 has an option to filter PS1 textures, which doesn't always work and sometimes just causes glitchy graphics the PS3 does a little bit of filtering and upscaling to PS1 games, but in the process the video is also delayed a few frames the GBA and GBC do an okay job of adding color to GB games -...

Re: Guwange XBLA

you can turn "wide mode" off, which essentially zooms the whole game to be ginormous - the menus are chopped off brutally on 4:3 TVs, but once you get everything set up, it works well enough. it doesn't help that the menu organization is total nonsense

patch is out and offers a cheap hack to fix things up - as gruesome as it can be, it gets the job done, hahahaha
