Can I turn off Friendly Damage on Final Fight CD
I'm playing with the gf and we keep hurting each other. Anyway to turn this off? I didn't see an option in the menu, and the internet hasn't yielded much.

Re: 720p vs 1080p TV discussion
One thing I find myself wondering about TVs and resolutions is why can't they change resolutions like a PC monitor? Why can't a 1080p TV switch to a 480i mode instead of upscaling? You can't do this with an LCD Monitor either. When you're switching resolutions all you're doing is switching inputs a...

Anybody Installed the Retro RGB NES RGB Kit?
m Anybody installed this? How complicated is it? Did you like the results, colors were perfect and the like? Also I have audio questions. I see the mod also intercepts the audio and outputs it using a stereo 3.5mm jack. Why is this? Is this just dual mono, or is it one of those NES stereo mods? Also...

Re: So I Almost Beat NSLU in a Single Sitting Last Night but
Yeah he's slippery as all hell. Given that this is technically DLC even if I had beaten it yesterday I'm not sure that it would have counted as beating a game the first time I encountered it, as I had encounter NSMBU plenty of times before. Anyway got home today and beat this thing. http://i.imgur.c...

So I Almost Beat NSLU in a Single Sitting Last Night but...
I've owned this game since the physical copies first released but never got the chance to play it. Popped in yesterday since I was off work for the snowday in DC. Never have I finished a game the first time I ever played it, but yesterday was the closest I've ever come. Got through every world, didn...

Re: Sega Genesis & Saturn SCART to Component Advice & Suggus
its going to be a lot of money and frustration for a marginal increase in video quality. It won't be like the jump from composite to s-video.

Re: Does anyone know of a reputable SNES modding service?
I second Ziggy's recommendation to give up YPbPr SNES modding. Right now I wouldn't trust the mod on my TV for long periods of time. The voltages coming off the line are far too high and could damage components in your TV if exposed to them for long. The mod itself doesn't even look that good, and w...

Re: Nintendo Is Hurting :(
As gamers, we benefit from having the absolute most number of games available, regardless of the perceived quality. Tell that to Atari circa 1984 lol. Huge difference between now and 1984 is we have access to tons of game reviews. Before there was no real way to tell which games were good and which...

Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
As someone who worked professionally 15 years in IT for various companies supporting and building PCs, first experiencing a Mac in 2006 was so relieving. Gone are the days of reinstalling Windows, troubleshooting crashes, and all the usual stuff. It still blows my mind that my 2008 MacBook went thr...

Re: XRGB Mini Question Wii Aspect Ratio Headaches
@theclaw I don't think that is quite right. I turned my TV's pillarbox bars grey so I could see exactly when my TV is pillarboxing. The TV is definitely not pillarboxing when I turn the XRGB Mini to Wide. Yet the image does not quite reach the edges of the screen. The mini is placing a black box on ...
