Re: Video Game "Finds of the Day"
My 12 y/o little sister was saving up for a Wii, and after checking Kijiji for a few days, I found her one the perfect deal just five minutes after it was first posted. Replied IMMEDIATELY and picked it up with her a few hours later. Total cost was $230 (I lent her a bit) for the following: Wii CIB ...

Re: Linux returns to PS3. Yes, that's both fat & slim models.
Could this potentially return backwards compatibility with PS2 games to newer PS3 models? Or was that more of a hardware thing..? I'm annoyed by people trying to sell their "rare" used 60Gb PS3 models for more than a new PS3 slim. It would be nice to start a Sony collection and not have to...

Re: Best 3rd Party N64 Controllers?
I have a Makopad which works well (essentially a Superpad but clear), but doesn't get the sensitivity quite right for some games, and my thumb tends to slip off of that gigantic stick. Kind of awkward but you get used to it. My vote would have to go towards the classic controller with a replacement ...

Re: Starting an online store
I'm in Ontario, so maybe that influences things, but receiving a package of one or two games from the US is often cheaper than the same within Canada. That even applies for larger shipments, depending on the service used (I am not a fan of Canada Post, their prices are high and they lost my Mario Ka...

Re: Dreamcast BBA Clone , running games in the future....a dream
Found the original page: m Realized I'd been there before! It was in my bookmarks Scroll down to the bottom of that page to see the BBA Clone, with a very basic schematic and a picture of the thing. What is that huge chip? I was hoping it might be done with an Arduino or something. Looks complex and...

Re: Dreamcast BBA Clone , running games in the future....a dream
I have been following the Dreamcast SD Adaptor 'scene' for quite a while now and my hopes for *fully*-playable ISO backups from an SD card have been dashed by demo videos showing that, although many can be played, the minimum cost is that you can't have music with some of the favourite fighters.. An...

Re: Clear blue dreamcast - limited edition? + other questions
Hmm, no the Hello Kitty edition would have a cute little kitty head on the top - this one is just a plain NTSC dreamcast logo (red swirl). I wish, though! Sounds like it's a replacement case... but no biggie I guess - didn't pay too much, it looks nice, and it actually works! For now.. Any way to ma...

Clear blue dreamcast - limited edition? + other questions
I recently purchased a dreamcast system in box with all hookups, original packaging + plastic bags, etc. and it is a translucent blue colour, as is the included controller, modem and VMU. The box isn't anything special and the case of the console does not have a caution label on the underside. I hav...

Re: N64 save-files gone awry - is the internal battery dying?
Thanks everyone for your help! Following Ziggy578's suggestion I decided to clean the cart first, before opening the cart (my system was cleaned not long ago) and tried again. And lo and behold... The cart can't even remember I ever played the game. My file is completely gone! Not only that, but a s...
